We are a human rights education program in Thailand on the border of Myanmar that was set up in 2002. The purpose of the center is to empower community leadership in the Karenni people who have suffered human rights abuses, promote non-violent efforts to build a new society by educating Karenni young people who live in the nearby refugee camp and Karenni State. Our students are young adult Karenni refugees who are eager to learn English and improve prospects for the future.
