Description
Are you eager to explore an unknown country? Does a quiet mountain town sound nice to you? Then you may be the right person for me. The hostel is located in the most beautiful city in Kyrgyzstan - Karakol.
The hostel was opened in May 2016, and since then have had great success! The hostel itself is very small but cosy, with only 12 dorm beds. I am very passionate about the hostel and love my job :). We are looking for someone who is just like us; talkative, hardworking and little bit crazy. And we would love to workaway with you at least for a month.
Our hostel is located in a central area of Karakol. The town itself is small and charming with many good restaurants to try, parks to explore and interesting markets to get lost in. Most travelers visit Karakol for the natural surrounding beauty. We are surrounded by beautiful mountains and close to the stunning Issyk-Kul Lake. There is so much to explore in the area, including hiking, biking, backpacking and even horseback riding. With us you’re guaranteed to be in the center of it all.Types of help and learning opportunities

While volunteering with us, you will get to know people who visit from all over the world and the most importantly you will get the opportunity to discover Kyrgyzstan. Karakol is a great city. It is a nice place to discover something new and experience the natural beauty of Central Asia.
Help
We are looking for an active and responsible person with excellent interpersonal skills. We want to meet people who share interest in travelling, meeting others from around the world, and helping the hostel grow. It's important to have enthusiasm for hostel work, and helping to start a small local business. We are interested in volunteers who can basically help us improve the hostel in any way. Helping to improve our online image (logo, website design and social media), would be greatly appreciated. Overall We are looking for a cool and active person with loads of ideas to help the hostel grow.
In addition to helping us brand the hostel, there are a few other ways you could help out. The staff doesn't speak the best English (except myself, the owner), so I would be super happy if you could spend some time teaching the staff English. We are also looking for someone who can teach us to bake delicious pastries and yummy breakfasts but these are not obligatory.Languages spoken
English: Fluent
Russian: FluentAccommodation
While you stay with us, we can offer you a bed our hostel, plus free breakfast everyday. You are also free to use all of our facilities such as free wi-fi, hot shower, and access to our fully equipped kitchen.
What else ...
During your time off there is so much to explore! In Karakol itself there are a few interesting historical sites and points of interest. The city has many green spaces and directly next to the hostel is the beautiful Victory Park, where you can go for nice walks or jogs. In addition, you can try many local food, drinks and cafes in town. In Karakol, everyone speaks good Russian, so it is a good place to practice your Russian if you are interested.
If you like being outdoors, Karakol is definitely the place for you. We have many hiking trails which are just outside the city. They offer something for everyone, including easy day hikes to strenuous overnight backpacking trips. In addition to the wonderful mountains, we also have some nearby beaches which are wonderful in the summer. It's also easy to rent bicycles in town to explore the area with. With all the beauty around, you'll never get bored.A little more information
