Description
Namaste and Warm Greetings!
My name is Garima, and I’m thrilled to welcome you to our little slice of paradise in Nepal! Our family is excited to share our home, our culture, and our way of life with you. Together with my brother Gagan, our parents (former English teachers), my sister-in-law (a registered nurse), and my little nephew, we run a vibrant organic farm that’s not just a place to work but a space to connect, learn, and grow.
Our farm is a haven of peace and sustainability, where we grow pesticide-free vegetables and embrace the healing power of nature. While we dream of expanding into a chicken farm (currently on hold due to budget constraints), our focus remains on creating a warm, enriching experience for every volunteer who joins us.
What Makes Us Unique? :
- Cultural Immersion: Experience the authentic Nepali lifestyle, from traditional meals to local festivals.
- Language No Barrier: While we’re fluent in English, we warmly welcome volunteers who speak other languages too!
- Nature’s Playground: Our farm is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, including a serene stream where you can bathe, relax, and soak in the beauty of nature.
- Evening Campfires: Every night, we gather around a cozy campfire (weather permitting) to share stories, laughter, and starlit skies.
Explore and Unwind:
Our farm is perfectly located for adventure and exploration:
- Saraswoti Statue: Just a short hike or auto-rickshaw ride away, you’ll find a stunning, larger-than-life statue of Saraswoti, the goddess of education and wisdom. It’s a peaceful spot for reflection and photography.
- Shiva Temple: Perched atop a scenic hill, this ancient temple offers not only spiritual solace but also panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. The hike to the temple is a rewarding experience, or you can opt for a quick auto-rickshaw ride.
- Nearby Stream: A hidden gem close to our farm, this crystal-clear stream is perfect for a refreshing dip or simply chilling by the water, surrounded by nature’s symphony.
What We Offer:
- Comfortable Stay: You’ll have a cozy place to rest after a day of work and exploration.
- Fast Internet: Stay connected with our reliable 40 Mbps internet—perfect for sharing your adventures or staying in touch with loved ones.
- Cultural Exchange: Learn about Nepali traditions, cooking, and herbal remedies, and share your own stories and skills with us.
Your Help:
We’d love your assistance with:
- Organic farming (planting, harvesting, and tending to crops).
- Light construction or maintenance projects.
- Sharing your skills, whether it’s teaching, art, or anything else you’re passionate about!
Why Choose Us?
We’re more than just a host family—we’re a community. Our farm is a place where you can slow down, connect with nature, and create lasting memories. Whether you’re here to learn, explore, or simply unwind, we promise an experience that will stay with you long after you leave.
So, pack your bags and bring your adventurous spirit! We can’t wait to welcome you into our family and show you the magic of Nepal.

Your Home Away From Home
During your stay with us, you’ll enjoy a comfortable and authentic experience on our organic farm. If you’re a couple, you’ll have a private room, while solo travelers will share a room with someone of the same gender. Each room is equipped with a light bulb, dustbin, and cozy bedding, including a Nepali-style mattress, bedsheet, pillow, and blanket. Feel free to bring a mosquito net or sleeping bag if you prefer. Our farm is located in a peaceful, serene area, far from the noise of the city, ensuring you get a restful night’s sleep.
For bathroom facilities, we have shared toilets and a traditional Nepali-style bathroom for bathing, offering a unique cultural experience. If you’re looking for something even more refreshing, you can head to the nearby stream, where you can bathe surrounded by nature’s beauty.
When it comes to meals, we serve traditional Nepali dishes made with fresh, organic vegetables from our farm. You’ll enjoy daal (lentil soup), bhat (rice), tarkari (vegetable curry), aachar (pickle), and more. We serve two main meals a day—around 9 to 10 in the morning and 7 to 8 in the evening. In the morning, a cup of hot tea or coffee awaits you, and in the afternoon (around 2 to 3 PM), you can enjoy tea with local snacks when available. Occasionally, we also offer milk and curd if we have them on hand.
To stay connected, we provide free, unlimited 40 Mbps Wi-Fi. Just a minute’s walk from our home, you’ll find small shops selling essentials like recharge cards, biscuits, bakery items, and even beer if you’d like to enjoy a drink on the farm.
As we are not financially strong at the moment, we kindly ask volunteers to contribute $5 per day per person for food and accommodation. This small contribution helps us sustain our farm and continue offering this unique experience to travelers like you.
We’re committed to making your stay as enriching and comfortable as possible. Whether you’re here to work, explore, or simply unwind. What else ...
