Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a happy and friendly family and we are in a position to help people with their spoken English as both Chris and Giuliana have teaching qualifications. We are happy to talk to people about our history, culture and general information about Australia. We also like to share our skills with those that are interested to learn.
Help
We require help to maintain the property to enhance the cooking school vision. As a result, we require ongoing maintenance of both the surrounding gardens, vegetable patch , orchard and house work. We also will need help with the farming work which will include such things as fencing, animal care, harvesting and generally keeping the farm neat and tidy.

We have two separate sleeping quarters which are located near the house. One room can accommodate four people and the other room can accommodate two people. They have been recently renovated and are clean and comfortable. We provide clean bedding and work clothes. Volunteers can use the family bathroom and toilets.
What else ...
We have had many young people from numerous countries stay with us. We are happy to provide help with spoken English and we hope to provide a home away from home. We also love to share our culture with others and learn about other people's cultures. We enjoy having friendly, respectful people staying with us. During free time, there are many lovely walks in this area. We are situated close to the Huon River and we can provide bicycles for your use. Cygnet is a lovely little town with cafes and a vibrant Sunday market. There are also buses to Hobart from Cygnet daily.
