Description
Hi, I'm David. In December 2020 my wife Katie and I moved to St Aubin de Cadalech; a small hamlet nearby the bastide market town of Eymet in the Dordogne region of South West France. We moved down here to enjoy a more relaxed lifestyle and enjoy the outdoors with our 2 dogs, Thatcher, a chocolate labrador and Parker, a docker we rescued when we moved in.
Set in 2 acres of garden, our house was originally built in 1709 and has been lovingly brought back to life whilst maintaining some gorgeous original features - with the recent addition of a swimming pool. Perfect for the warmer weather! We enjoy having only a small handful of neighbours around us.Types of help and learning opportunities

There will be plenty of time and opportunity for the person/s to explore the surrounding area and interact with the locals amongst the cafes, bars, restaurants and markets. No better way to practice and develop your French language skills.
Help
As I (David) work away frequently we are looking for someone to help us out with gardening for a few hours each day.
Generally the garden is what requires the work; mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning etc and also tending to the veggie patch.
On occasion a dog walk or care would be great!Languages spoken

We will provide all food, and you are more than welcome to join us at all meal times! we like our food, or you can prepare your own food in our kitchen. We are big meat eaters and often BBQ in the warmer months! even in the colder months we light the BBQ.What else ...
We have a spare car that we would be willing to let people use provided licenses etc are in place. We live about 8 minutes from the local town and 25 minutes from transport links in Bergerac. The local towns of Bergerac, Eymet and Issigeac are all in close proximity.
