  I'm a Swiss activist, computer scientist and journalist living partly in the center of Athens, Greece, at the border of the Exarcheia neighbourhood. This is a great spot to explore the city and feel its vibes.

  You will feel the greek culture and mindset, its byzantine component and why they are more free people than most of western Europeans. You'll be at the heart of the true concept of democracy, and I can tell you a lot about it :-) You'll discover a different way of life, rich in human connections.

  Help

  I need help with a project in Athens, Greece to raise awareness of the importance of going to small local shops to preserve local spirit, social links and independence.
  
  We need to make short presentation movies about some representative local shops and their owners, to publish small videos on our platform and social media that would encourage people to understand why it's important to support local independant people. We also need to hand out leaflets on the street to raise awareness among locals and tourists of the importance of favoring these small businesses over large chain stores. You will not need to speak Greek as locals are also involved into the project.
  
  For example, your mission will be to walk around town looking for open small shops owners and make a short movie with them if they agree (exploration), describing what they offer, the story about their shop, why they think it's important to have local economy. You'll be given a leaflet in Greek and English to help you overcome the language barrier if necessary.
  
  I can teach you the necessary basic skills for video editing if you wish.
