Description
I am an retired artist from Berlin turned antiquarian turned house owner. My interests lie in art, botany, crafts (sewing!) and culture
I bought this house two years ago and it is still very much a work in progress. I live here alone but have regular visits from friends and family. The project is mostly about creating a beautiful getaway.Types of help and learning opportunities

I am an retired artist from Berlin turned antiquarian turned house owner. My interests lie in art, botany, crafts (sewing!) and culture. While the surrounding area is quiet and rural (the village is home to about 200 people), Berlin is about 1.5 hrs by train. I can offer to show you around in the area, take a drive to the castles and parks close by and share my knowledge about the area with you.
Help
I am looking for help in different areas:
Renovating an old bakery (non commercial) in a small village in the north east of Germany. That includes tasks like taking down wallpaper, washing down old paint, painting the walls, building shelves and cupboards.
I also need help in the garden. While i do most of the planting and maintenance myself, i need help for heavier work, like moving soil, building a terrace, digging holes, stuff like that. There are two barns that need maintenance and wood storage that needs sorting out.Languages

You will get your own room with wifi and we will share a bathroom. I can provide bikes for you to cycle around.
What else ...
The area is very quiet so you should be able to entertain yourselves. There are forests near by for mushroom picking and foraging, a lake for swimming is reachable by bike, and there is plenty of space to hang a hammock. If you want to go to Berlin once in a while i would drive you to the train station.
There is an garage gym for weight lifting that my son put together.A little more information
