    Description

We're are a family of three : Jeanne, Ulysse (13) and Mathieu. We live in Roussillon, a beautiful village in the Luberon, Vaucluse known for it's red and orange cliffs. The view is unforgettable and there are many places to visit around by walk, bicycle or car. We are restoring a 200 year old house in the village and need help.

We're a family from various origins. I, Mathieu, am Canadian, Jeanne is French, granny is Indonesian and our son is a mix of all those. We traveled a lot and have some experience as workawayers. Over the course of this project, I learned a lot about masonry, carpentry, roofing, window glazing, welding as well as plumbing. I'm not a professional and I'm still learning but can share a lot of information and techniques. My wife is very knowledgeable about the region and the little secret places to visit. We will try our best to make you love our region.

We are restoring our 200 year old house in the village and need extra hands since there is so much to do. We are now doing the lime plasters and need help for all things related especially doing the mortar. We try to start working early in the morning to give you time to visit in the afternoon.

    Accommodation

We all live with granny at the moment since the house is inhabitable due to the work being done. We have a simple room and even a spot for laying a tent if you prefer. We set up a small kitchen outside with food to cook so you can be autonomous. We are quite busy so we find it's best if you can prepare your breakfast and lunch and we share diner together. Our visitors seem to enjoy this so far as they can decide if they want to take time on their own or not. Don't hesitate to discuss any of this with us. We were workawayers ourselves and take your well-being seriously :-)

  • What else ...

    What else ...

There are buses from Cavaillon and Avignon that will drop you either in the village or close by. We can arrange a pickup easily. The village has a lot to offer by feet. When possible, we have a bicycle or two. If you come by car, then you will have many places to go including rivers, mountains and such.

    Ligne 15 (Avignon - Cavaillon - Apt)
Get out at "Pont-Julien" or "Le Chêne" (we can pick you there)

    Ligne 17 (Cavaillon - Roussillon)
Get out at "Roussillon - Aire de Retournement Bus" (the house is on the other side of the road)

Please verify the validity dates of those timetables as they are different in the winter.
