Land restoration and permacultural design project next to Siena’s historical city walls.
Our garden, located just outside Siena’s historical city walls, close to Porta Romana, is part of the Institute complex, a multicultural and multilingual environment.
Our focus is on land restoration, heritage and cultural studies, sustainability and accessibility for people with disabilities.
Our team has extensive experience in permacultural designs as well as community living.
Hosting family of 3: Bernardo, artist and permaculture design expert with extensive work experience in the environmental field, is currently partnering with Deafal. Karin, social worker with 10+ years of community experience.

The city of Siena is situated in the heart of Tuscany, full of rich cultural traditions such as the historical horse race called “Palio”.
Very close to Florence and Pisa, with an extensive countryside (Valle d’Orcia is classified as UNESCO world heritage site since 2004). Public transport is available (bus, train, well connected to Florence and Pisa’s airports).
Art institute hosts an art school, art scholarships for international students as well as artistic residencies. The institute is also linked to the Mason Perkins foundation, supporting the deaf communityA little more information
