    Description

We have been in agriculture our whole lives and have just just expanded our operation. We are passionate about our industry and enjoy the people in it. My husband was a welder and we use horses for cattle work. We live on the south SK river where we irrigate, calve cows and have a feedlot. We have many fencing and building projects on the go along with trying to raise our kids. The kids are active with the cattle and horses but still are quite small to be out there all the time. They are raised to work hard, be respectful and always be learning.

You will definitely get the whole farm/ranch experience and be a part of our everyday life. We do a lot with the neighbors and take in as many local community events as we can. We would make an effort to connect you people your age and give you the opportunity to do some exploring of your own.

    Help

We run a cow calf operation where we use horses for cow work and put up feed. We have two girls 9 and 6 who I require some help with while I work outside. We are a active family and do lots with the neighbors and travel between provinces on work related jobs. We want to find someone fun and outgoing who enjoys new things and experience the ranching heritage. Additional tasks would include helping with house, yard chores and other ranch related jobs like fencing and cleanup. Flexible hrs if you want to go see some sights. Drivers license is required. You would enjoy this job if you enjoy the outdoors but flexible in doing what needs to be done or fits your skill set Minimum wage. If there is a trade skill a higher wage can be negotiated.

    Accommodation

We eat together and prepare full course meals at least once a day depending on everyone's schedule. We have a basement where they have their own bathroom as well as a rig shack seperate from our yard. We would share the cooking. Depending on the season we will be preparing meals for a crew of people. We do spend a bit of time on the road between different ranches.

    What else ...

We want to make it an enjoyable experience so please be upfront about your expectations and we will work to accommodate. We have transportation available with planning. We are in rural sk so it is not very populated and you would need to be comfortable with that. We work hard and play hard so appreciate people who are outgoing, positive and up to trying new things. Communication is important with our work so English needs to be strong.
