Description
Owner couple on rural setting both working outside the home looking for help in Rainforest regeneration, weed control and planting + other small build projects. Sitting in the caldera of Mt Warning, we live in Northern Rivers NSW/Half hour south of Qld border, peaceful rainforest and bush setting. Murwillumbah/Tyalgum closest town/village. Able to provide in home accommodation currently with own bathroom- seperate space verandah for your own cave time.
Our " Glassed Bunker' with wet season waterfall is complete. Plenty of private space for down time. Mass birdlife, chooks and dog with the odd goanna prowling around. Coolangatta Airport pick up available. Looking for 5-6 hours a day assist. Prepare own breakfast- with supplied ingredients and enjoy lunch and dinner. Lifts to and from town available with prior arrangements. Beautiful beaches along the Tweed coast, Byron 45 minutes south! Or cool off with a swim in waterhole, a short walk and easy access within a Km. wifi available Mobile reception not the greatest. Internet available.
we are also assisting and looking for help on a 100acre 200 year Conservation listed property "JOY" a few Kms up the road. The previous owner spent over 40 years regenerating a cleared dairy property, planting over 30,000 trees to create a protected biodiversity habitat for endangered native fauna and flora. We look for help on this property that has been negelcted after prolonged illness of previous owner.
You would be staying with us and arrangements made daily for transfer and drop off to and from the property with lunch supplied for the day. Leave after breakfast in your own little sanctuary and return to some down time and dinner Opportunity for own going or return workers welcome!

Magical Mt Wollumbin & Mt Warning National Park scenery, with The Tweed and Oxley Rivers to throw a kayak into, swim in nearby watering holes with easy access and stretch the legs on multiple walking trails through this stunning region. Meet local Makers & Finders and Farmers' markets providores, with opportunity to explore the ins and outs of organic farming. We can arrange visits and transport to fill in your time. Tyalgum village is an eco conscious destination only 7 km away where -walkers of all lifestyles, creative creatures, young and older nomads and academics alike all mix and blend. Appreciate the natural beauty and history of the area with down to earth people. Help out on a 200 Year Conservation property!
Help
We'd love some help from you with gardening and weeding and watering (all on rainwater!) with extensive veggie gardens to tend and grab the eggs from the chooks. Keep the dog company and plant some natives in our subtropical rainforest project. An out door shelter project and seperate gazebo also on the ''to do" list

Private (in home) well furnished bedroom opposite own bathroom and toilet. Kitchen & laundry facilities available. Prepared Lunch and dinner provided with supplies available to grab your own breakfast. Or you can use glassed walled bunker with rain-forest view /separate from main house- Depends on availability (and length of stay -1 week plus)..Wi Fi access, large outdoor verandahs plus separate gazebo away from house. Plenty of spaces to take time out away from it all in amongst bamboos and rain-forest settings. Remember we are in a bush setting so there are bugs outdoors and animal noises at night! Birds and wildlife to watch. whilst we store plenty of rainwater we are conscientious of waste.

Here for 16 years , one a kiwi and both coming from South Australia, we are a tradesman and a professional in human services field (self employed), looking to offer both an opportunity to share this part of the world with others and get some help in maintaining our landholding. Members of Land for Wildlife, and with a variety of culturally inspired interests, including arts, music and theatre we are sure you'll enjoy your time here. It won't hurt that one of us is also a chef to prepare the meals! And cooking lessons can be an option! An extensive in-home library is available for your access also.A little more information
