Description
**Spring activity in the garden**
We are a bilingual English / French family. Our 17 yr old daughter has just started boarding school. We live in a beautiful new wooden house in the countryside ( 5 km from Pau) with an astonishing view of the mountains.
On our land we have two chickens, fruit trees and a permaculture garden. We created it six years ago and it still needs some improvements.
We have a cat and a dog.
I am free from my job and my partner is a life coach.
I have walked on the Camino de Compostella.
I have cycled from Bristol to La Rochelle.
We love travelling and hosting people and discovering new cultures. We also practice yoga and meditation from time to time and enjoy walking, dancing and local Occitan music.
Half of the family is vegetarian.
We live 45 mins from the mountains where there are plenty of lovely walks.
The sea at Biarritz is just over an hour away.Types of help and learning opportunities

It was my first Workaway experience and I was very lucky to find Jacques, Anna and Amalia. For two weeks I felt like part of the family. I was taught to sew (thanks to Amalia), cook, work in the garden... And they tried very hard to teach me French and English.
