Description
Hi, would you like to give us a hand on our little farm in the country side, surrounded by meadows with horses and cork trees? We have cats, dogs, chickens, and goats and 3000m² of land to maintain. We could use anyone who is fit and does not mind to get his or her hands dirty.
And, unfortunately for them, we do not take smokers.

We live near the Silver Coast of Portugal, within 20-30 min by car there are at least three completely different beaches. You can surf big waves at Nazaré, wind surf, sail at Foz do Arelho and sun bath at São Martinho do Porto.
There are several places of interest within 30-90 min, like Fátima, Óbidos, Tomar, Batalha and much more. If you are into palaeontology and dinosaurs, you can also find tracks and fossils nearby. Horse riding, hiking or biking in the nearby mountains is also one of many possibilities.Help
We have a small farm in central Portugal near the Silver Coast. (One hour drive from Lisbon airport.) The farm is 3000m2 with mainly fruit and olive trees. We also have some animals: three dogs, (one abandoned when young, two from a nest at one of our friend's neighbour's), four cats, four chicken, and two goats.
Our daily activities therefore are gardening and taking care of our animals. Since we moved to our quinta we are upgrading the property which means that we do light and simple construction works ourselves, so a pair of extra hands is much appreciated!
A list of our chores is: mowing, cutting, trimming, digging, sawing, watering, stable cleaning, dog walking, animal feeding/cuddling, painting and enjoying the country lifestyle.Languages spoken

Public transport to big cities as, Lisbon and Coimbra are easy by Rede Expressos. Local public transport is available but local travelling is best by car, so having a driver's licence is a pro but not a must.

During our time there, our day would begin with walking the dogs and goats followed by breakfast. Then we would do some work around the garden until lunchtime if we hadn’t already taken a cake break before! It’s safe to say we were very… read more
