Liz and PJ are excellent hosts! They were born and raised in the west of Ireland, and they know practically everything about the area. I spent a good part of this summer at their beautiful home. Liz and PJ are happy to share their expert knowledge about their local area, Galway and the west coast in general. We took some trips together and they
… read more showed me all sorts of things. Their knowledge and tips helped me immensely. They are always up for a good music session! They are fun-loving, kind and generous. They have travelled the world. Liz is a great cook and likes to learn other culture’s recipes. Their neighbours were very friendly. Their property is really nice and peaceful. My accommodation was excellent. Their cats are The Best and Caesar the donkey is great. Thank you, Liz and PJ, for hosting me and for making my dreams of living in Ireland, even for a short time, come true. Perhaps we'll see you over on this side of "the pond" sometime!

Well what to say, l spent fantastic month with these amazing people.
P.J. and Liz were so far my best host ever! The work and tasks were just great and gave me an oportunity to experiance real Irish way of life. Taking care of sheep and house, cutting some wood and going now and then to the Pub with P.J. was just fantastic.

I am afraid there will never be a place better than PJ and Liz’s!!! They are the most fun, welcoming, hard-working, lovely people you’ll ever know! Their place is just gorgeous, the sheep are so sweet and silly, and the meals Liz cooks will have you gaining ten pounds before you leave because you’ll be eating all of it and licking the plate and
… read more pans after. They are so funny and love telling stories and hearing your stories. I learned SO much from both of them about SO much!!
I came right at the start of lambing season and learned a ton and got to hold and bottle feed the little lambies. I also did a lot of random work that needed done around the place with PJ and that was also great! I just had so much fun here. They really want you to experience Ireland well, so they give you time to go see and do the things you’d want, with help of travel details and such. They also have no problem making you a part of the neighborhood and family. It was just such a wonderful trip, I wish I could’ve stayed forever.
If you need a place to stay and would like to have a laugh and feel welcomed, please go to PJ and Liz’s. There’s no better place to be!!You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Johnny spent 5 weeks with us at our small holding in Galway during May and June. From the day he arrived he fitted right in with us and was very easy company during his time with us. Johnny is a lovely guy! Friendly, considerate, kind, chatty and good fun. He is easy-going and yet hard-working. He was a huge help with taking care of our sheep,

We were sorry to see him leave for his next position and would highly recommend him as a workawayer. He arrived as a stranger but left as a friend.
