Description
Looking for someone(s) to housesit on a farm and look after Lara (the resident cat) in the middle of a beautiful forest far away from the modern world.
We grow almonds, olives, pomegranates and other fruit and veg on the farm for our own consumption although at the moment we are just focusing on making the place look presentable for the summer.
Previously there was a campsite on the finca and several houses which were used for holiday lets. The houses are all still operational and need some work done, so any building or construction skills would be great but not essential. Lara is very easygoing so will just need a bit of TLC.
We are off grid, which means we get our electricity from solar panels and our water comes from a well. No pollution for miles, very clean living. The house itself is fully equipped with all the amenities of a modern villa.
Ideally we are looking for a family or a group of friends to stay up at the farm (the longer the better) as it is far away from everything. Views are second to none and closest neighbours are wild goats.Types of help and learning opportunities

He was mostly away, so I chose not to rate cultural exchange since it would not be fair.
Marco him self is very laid back and easy going, even while he was not present, he did still provide the information I need and had always an open ear.

I was honoured to have Sam, Ester, Aron and Efraim on our finca because they kept the place moving throughout the most difficult period we/the modern world has ever been through.
During the pandemic we suffered huge losses in terms of business and product value but Sam and Ester put in the hours to… read more

I spend just one week here as I had to leave earlier than scheduled due to personal reasons. Marco offers lots of space to develop your ideas and qualities into work, there's loads of work to be done and one can choose the work which fits best.
