Description
We are a tribe of wild wacky whimsical Canadians intent on packing our lives full of the best stuff - laughter, art, music and Mother Nature's medicine. We have an amazing 70 acre playground two hours north of Montreal on which we've built a cabin as a base for all our future scheming. Our land is mostly forest plus a beautiful lake, populated by trout and bass. We have a boat, a canoe and a tree castle going up. The air is pure, the water pristine. You'll sleep like a baby far away from the hustle and bustle of the world.
We want to preserve the natural environment as best we can, and encourage fun and learning on it. A couple of our members have completed PDCs and are developing permaculture gardens, hiking trails, natural products and educational workshops. This season we want to build a passive energy system, water catchment, composting toilets, an outdoor oven, and a dock. Fungiculture and Aquaculture are also things we're interested to experiment with.
We're looking for help in any of these areas and welcome wandering spirits who have skills, experience and creativity to share. The stay will be very rustic and minimal, but the vibes will be strong and soulful. If you love the outdoors, the simple life, gettin' wood and belting out tunes around the campfire, you'll love hanging out with us, You can't be afraid of bugs and we don't have wifi!
We're located about 20 minutes from the town of Riviere Rouge, Quebec where supplies can be procured. A small group usually carpools up to the land on weekends, and now some members are starting to spend time there during the week. We are flexible and will accommodate you, so just let us know what inspires you about us and how you think you'd like to contribute.
