Description
Hi, I live just outside of a village/town, 45 mins from the out-skirts of Bogotá. I have 13 dogs picked up from the street or descendants from the street. I have recently started an organic vegetable plot. Half British half Colombian happily settled in Colombia since 2015 after 30 years in UK doing a number of jobs, last being a Foster carer. A great stay for making the transition from abroad to visit the rest of Colombia.

Born in UK my first language is english but fluent in spanish. I have plenty of relatives here and made many friends in the village though my shop/restaurant I am interested in meeting new people and making people welcome. Colombia is an amazing country and travelling by public transport is fun and economical. In an hour you can be in a swimming pool in a warm and sunny climate. Colombian people are very welcoming and there is a growth in ecohostels. The diversity in Colombia is amazing and there is so much to see.
Help
Hi, I am offering variety of experiences. Help with the dogs being the most helpful, jobs include, feeding, watering, poo scooping, affection (lots of it please!), paddock care, grooming and hole filling! Experience is required of dealing with numerous dogs, it isn't like having family dogs more like kennels though they live in a sectioned paddock.
Also! I have a small plot of land that I would like to plant trees on. I have a veg plot which always needs attention.
If anyone has experience of set up a rainwater harvesting system please come here! I have got as far as buying some tanks.
Lots to do as at the moment I am managing all this by myself as well as managing the vegan restaurant and shop with a friend. At the moment I don't have much time to dedicate to socialising 🥺 but you would be most welcome to spend time at the restaurant with us.Languages spoken

The accomodation is a 15 minute walk from the village (quite steep at the end) and is in a comfortable house with full mod cons, washing machine, dishwasher, hot shower. Shared bathroom. Camping also available with access to house for kitchen, bathroom. Please bring your own tent and bedding. Evenings in Tenjo are chilly as is early morning so please keep this in mind when packing. During the day it can vary from downpours to very hot sun. Food is vegan lunch provided in the restaurant. Breakfast is DIY and provisions can be bought in the village. The village has become more of a town in the last few years and has various supermarkets, restaurants and lots of shops. Meals provided depend on hours worked. I.e. Full 5 hours, breakfast lunch and small supper.
What else ...
Time off, Bogotá is easily accessible by bus with the amazing gold museum, graffiti touras are other local towns. Zipaquirá with the salt mine, Tabio has a thermal baths, ... The list is endless.
