    Description

We are a small family living in the Colombian Andes Mountains. Our house is located in a peaceful region 3 hours away (by Car/Bus) from the capital city, Bogota. There are good public transportation options available, and we can provide you with guidance during your stay. The accommodation we offer is a private, spacious yet cosy, en-suite room.

Our family moved from the city to the farm some years ago, so we are not 100% farmers, but we like the farmer-life a lot. Sometimes we host small events in the farm (ecotourism). We have a great relationship with local ("real") farmers, in case you are interested. The locals are caring and lovely people.

This is a great place to be if you want to improve your Spanish or start learning, since our Spanish accent happens to be quite clean and easy to understand. Our parents speak only Spanish, my sister and I speak English but we are only there on occasions. We are always open to new cultures and like to share and experience traditions with our visitors.

    What else ...

You have plenty of options to spend your free time. You can relax or keep busy on the farm, spend time with locals, and explore the area. Sometimes there are events taking place in Cómbita, the closest town (5000 inhabitants), which is a 15 minute walk away. If you miss the city life, you can take a bus which goes every 30 minutes to Tunja (300.000 Inhabitants), where there are plenty of things to see and do, and the opportunity to meet more English-speakers. If you want to explore even more, you can visit the small colonial towns in the region, all accessible by car/bus. Tunja has a well-connected transport terminal which makes it easy to get to places like Villa de Leyva and Raquira for the day.
