Description
We are very much looking forward to welcome new workawayers
Hello there,
we are a family of four - Michael (43), Evikka (40), Madlene (10) and Michael (1,5). We live in a small town near Innsbruck in Tirol. Michael works in a bank (risk management), Eva is a teacher (French, English), Madlene goes to school and Michael is a baby;-)...so he does his baby business ;-)
We dont have a TV but rather try to spend our freetime doing things we like - reading, doing sports, gardening, raising our children. We are very active, we like ... going in the nature, hiking, learning and trying out new things, visiting museums, concerts and galeries, planning and realising new projects. We eat healthy organic food - but we do not have any 'limitations' (we are not vegan or vegetarian although we lived like this in the past). We also love animals - especially Madlene - we have two dogs (English cockerspaniels).
We did already workaway stays ourselves and it was a great experience so we decided that now it is our turn to host :)Types of help and learning opportunities

Michael and Eva can teach you German and English. You can also do sports with us - we are active and like to do things. Also you can accompany us to all our activities e.g. when we make a trip, go swimming, do sports, visit Insbruck and other places, or just go for a walk..........etc. ;-) We will show you around and tell you about Austrian culture and way of life. You will surely taste some traditional Austrian dishes. (We looove to cook and we cook a lot) ;-)

Help
We are looking to find somebody who will babysit Madlene and Michael (and if possible also practice French with us (Eva and Madlene)). It does not have to be a native speaker necessarily (=speaking French is with Evikka and Madlene, Michael speaks only German, English and Italian).
There is also some household work - including ironing, vacuum cleaning, helping us to clean the kitchen after the meals, doing the laundry.
What is also important for us is cultural exchange, we are looking for somebody who will want to spend time with us, participate in our life and the activities we do, and who is interested in Austrian culture, nature and life (and language ..if you want..).Languages

We are looking for an au-pair for our children. We would love to find someone who will speak French with Madlene and Eva (as we love to practice our French). However it would be great if the person could also speak a little German with the baby Michael.Accommodation
During your stay you would live in a room in our appartment. You will share a bathroom with us.
What else ...
You can learn with us German language. Also we will show you around and give you tipps as for places you can visit here - there are many interesting places around :
Innsbruck (20min with the train),
Salzburg (2h),
Vienna (4h),
Verona (4h),
Lago di Garda (4h),
Munich (2h).
and lots and lots of mountains all around ;-)
There are great train and bus connections direct in our town-so you can get everywhere with the public transportation.
We live in a valey - but there are mountains as well as lakes all around so if you like there are many activities you can do in winter : skiing (there are many attractive ski resorts minutes from our house), ice sports, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, snowshoeing ) as well as in summer (hiking, climbing, jogging and nordic walking, horse riding, tennis and beachvolleyball, golf, paragliding, swimming, biking,....). If you like adventure there is AREA 47- which is the largest outdoor adventure park in Austria (20 minutes from our home).
There are as well very many wellness and spa resorts with saunas, Kneipp facilities and alpine streams (outdoors as well as indoors).
If you are intrerested rather in culture than sport - there is also a lot of what you can do: in Innsbruck there are museums, theaters, music concerts, galleries, sight-seeing, music and theater festivals, exhibitions, carnevals, readings, clubs...etc. You can visit many places in around here....all is very close in Austria (;-) it is a small country).
You can also taste many Tyrolean delicacies produced by local farmers.A little more information
