    Description

This charming 30-acre hobby farm is just a short 7-minute drive from 100 Mile House, nestled in the scenic Cariboo region. Surrounded by outdoor adventures like hiking, lakes, and sightseeing, it's a haven for nature enthusiasts. With a variety of animals including horses, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, and dogs, animal lovers will feel right at home here.

Experience with horses is a must for our Workaway position, as it offers a comprehensive experience including horse back riding and training. The cozy log house boasts a private guest room and bathroom with a delightful porch and hot tub. While WiFi and cable access are available, please note that cell service may be limited due to the rural location.

For those who enjoy exploring, a farm truck is on-site and available for personal use at times with a valid driver's license. The property features an outdoor riding arena and a horse trailer for accessing the numerous scenic trails nearby.

This family-run facility, managed by myself and my mom, caters to our own personal horses as well as a few boarders. The primary responsibilities revolve around basic horse care, such as feeding, grooming, and maintaining pastures and paddocks. With a young toddler in the family and a full-time working Nana, we are seeking a dedicated individual to assist with these daily tasks.

If you have a wealth of experience with horse care and riding and are excited about immersing yourself in this farm life, we'd love to hear from you!

We are in search of an individual with significant horse experience to oversee the care and riding of the many horses on our ranch. Responsibilities will encompass feeding, watering, stable and pasture maintenance, as well as riding in the arena or along the trails. Additionally, basic care for the chickens, rabbits, goats, and sheep will be part of the routine. You will primarily work independently, so reliability and self-sufficiency are key.

Personality-wise, being approachable and adaptable is highly valued in our environment. Both English and Western riding styles are available for your preference. With several young and inexperienced horses in need of regular riding and training, a proficient rider is necessary.

In addition to equine care, assistance with household chores such as vacuuming and mopping will be greatly appreciated. If you possess the requisite horse experience, a knack for maintaining a harmonious work environment, and a willingness to lend a hand with varied tasks, we would love to have you join our hobby farm!
