    Description

    Hello,

I'm looking for help for a week from the 21st of March to the 30th of March and then for 2 weeks in April but those dates aren't as strict - but probably past the 4th of April.

The tasks involve seasonal garden work and some larger natural building projects in the garden too. Help with outbuilding organisation and sorting. And prepping gardens for spring and summer.

I'm Elektra, i'm 30 years old and in charge of this very time consuming property. I'm bilingual, french and english.
The house itself is a small 19th century chateau, with 16 hectares of land, most of which are vines, rented out to a local cooperative. a small portion is a reinstatement project.
I work in TV and make documentaries outside of the work at the house, I travel between france and london for work but for the foreseeable future I'm based in france whilst i edit and organise projects.

    What you can expect:
I need helpers, volunteering 5 hours a day 5 days a week (max 25/week). I provide the accommodation, which is in the chateau. You get three meals a day. There is a communal kitty for alcohol and drinks.

It's a relaxed place, after the days volunteering which can be flexible depending on whats finished and weather, there's always a good meal, wine and music. A huge dvd collection and a big library (of books) you are welcome to borrow from. On your days off, if you want to do nothing for the day you are welcome to do so, or I am happy to show you around, go chateau visiting, wine tasting etc.

The area is full of beautiful chateauxs and gardens, lovely towns and tons of activities. You are welcome to use the bikes to explore on your own, the local town with supermarket and boulangries is a 15 minute bike ride away. That town, Doué La Fontaine, has bus routes all over the region and cheap!

So please if you are interested get in touch.
    thanks
    elektra

You can see what it's like to live on a sort of farm, vineyard and chateau grounds. It's the country life, simple. Wine and cheese, bread and cakes. Hay, flowers and vegetables. I mean what more can i say, its rural france and its pretty cool.
