Description
Live in Au pair - , Nov - Jan
Hi there! We are a family with two young boys (2,5 and 1 years old). Both of us are working. G works on an ed-tech startup and has an office in a nearby shopping mall (Publika), and Zoe works for the UN in the Pacific. We live in a condo, and the babies' grandma and uncle live in the same condo (different apartments).Types of help and learning opportunities
TeachingBabysitting and creative playCreating/ Cooking family mealsHelp around the houseCultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are an intercultural couple (G is Malaysian of Punjabi heritage) and Zoe is half Dutch and half British. We have been living (mostly) in Malaysia for the past decade with recent work bringing us to Solomon Islands in the Pacific.
We can share all about the Malaysian society with its many cultures (Malay, Indian and Chinese). You are welcome to accompany us to the many restaurants that KL has to offer (culinary heaven) and if you are interested, you can follow G's mother to the Sikh temple. You will also have plenty of opportunity to explore the cultural sites of the city and its surroundings by yourself.Projects involving children

Help
We are looking for a live-in Au Pair to stay with us from early November until mid-January. We are looking for someone who can stay for the entire duration of time. It is possible it would be extended after that, but then we move to the Pacific.
Your main role will be to look after the little one (Lio), and to play with the bigger one (Asa) in the afternoon (after his school). This mostly involves playing in the house or at the playground in our condo, taking them swimming or taking them out to the nearby mall. Making sure they gets their fruits and veggies and drink enough water. Lio takes 1 or 2 naps a day. Both kids will also spend time at their grandma's house or with other family and friends.
We would also like help with cooking (kids' lunch, occasional dinner) and keeping the house tidy (we have a cleaner for the heavy work). If you speak Dutch, this will be a distinct advantage as we are raising the kids bilingually.
A typical day might look like:
Morning (9am-12pm)
9am - 11am play with Lio at home or taking him out
11am - 12pm (cooking and/or) feeding lunch, and giving Lio a shower and a nap.
Afternoon (2-7pm)
Depending on the schedule for the day, another ~2hrs of help with Lio and Asa, or cooking.Languages spoken
