I dont know what took me so long to write this little text. I spend a week at Camillas place in August. It was my very first workaway experience and I was kinda nervous. But there was absolutly no need to be! Although she was in the Hospital when I arrived, she was welcoming me warmly, letting a stranger in her house. After picking her up, we

I mostly did work in her garden, from mowing the lawn, picking up some wild herbs, giving a hand in making tinctures, repairing a chest or simply cleaning a bit. I stayed a few days in her house, and a few in her cabin, both very cozy. Camilla is a kind hearted person, she will introduce to many of her friends and take you places. Thank you for making me feel so welcome and for the good time!
I stayed with Camilla for a little less than a week in August, and as my first Workaway experience, I really enjoyed it! Camilla warmly welcomed me into her home, and I immediately felt at homr. She let me choose where I wanted to stay, and her (at the time two cats and two kittens) were super adorable. We had great conversations and spent a lot

For work, she gave me the freedom to decide when and what I wanted to do, and she even encouraged me to explore Oslo for a day. Oslo is only a 40-minute trip by bus and public ferry away, with amazing views along the way. From Camilla’s house, it’s just a 5-10 minute walk to the Oslofjord, which you can even see from her house.
Thank you for hosting me, and maybe see you again, Camilla!
This was my first workaway experience and it was a great one for sure!
My 4 weeks were unfortunaly cut short because of a medical emergency but that did not change the amazing 3 week at Camilla's cabin. While I helped her painting, cleaning and reorganize the kitchen, you can also expect to find an amazing corner in the middle of nature.
I had the

Camilla came to the cabin almost everyday where we talked or play board games; she also brought some friends over and we prepare lunch together a couple of times.
Camilla is an amazing and caring person who will make you feel at home.
Thanks again for having me and ... see you soon!

Of all the my volunteers I must say that Matthieu sticks out, as this was a brilliant experience.
The whole family, with kids and animals, were all very happy to have this positive and pleasent man around us.
He is eager to work, and willing to do a variety of tasks. If he hadn't done the type of work previously, he would still have this innate

I first arrived at Camilla the 26th of October, just one day before my birthday. How could I sum up everything that had happened ? It has been my first Workaway experience and certainly the very best I could expect. She has been the only one to answer my messages before I left France, and she welcome me into her familly of 3 with so much love and
… read more attention. Camilla is such a lovely person, so open minded and full of very good advices. Her way of thinking and seing things is so inspiring we spent so many evenings by the fireplace - playing board games, exchanging our points of view and experiences, she has this look on the world that surrounds her that makes everything look simple and obvious, she has plenty of good advices, funny stories to tell, and obviously the mandatory "Taco Friday".
My tasks at Camilla were diverse, from keeping the house nice and tidy, to gardening cleaning and improving the garden, crafting and putting on some shelves here and there, giving a fresh paint to this and that, baking some cookies for her daughters, cleaning and arranging the tool shed outside the garden, and so on ... It has been two months and a half of fun, board-games, fires, amazing encounters and evenings.
I would recommend Camilla more than anyone for this workaway, she is true to herself, she speaks her heart and would never let you down for she always has something to tell to keep you uplifted. She can see the good and positive even tho your situation seems quite tricky. She is a very kind, gentle and nice soul that I highly recommend to anyone starting their "Workaway quest". I found in Camilla a trully amazing person, and more than that I think I can tell that I found a real friend in her.
All the love,
MatthieuYou can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I really loved the week I spent with Camilla and her two daughters!
Camilla is a great person, very kind and a superb cook! I really enjoyed all the talks we had, the time spent sitting around the bon fires and playing board games.
The work was diverse and nice, mostly things in the garden which I really enjoyed!
Hope to see you soon again!

Life changing experience!
Norway is beautiful and Hvitsten is so charming and peaceful - I really didn't want to leave!
Camilla is a great person and over the 2 weeks that I stayed with her she enlightened me about many different concepts and ideas. I found that there are different ways of looking at 'plain' situations. She has an amazing
… read more approach towards her children - I found it so easy to talk to and play with Lucia even though she's so young!
Because of small complications I had a chance to stay at Camilla's friends place in Oslo for 2 days which was an additional bonus for me!
The work was very minimal - I helped around the house, picked blueberries, some painting jobs and help around the garden.
Overall it was a great experience and I hope this will not be the last time I'm going to see Camilla and her lovely family! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Camilla is a lovely, open person and she lives in an astoundingly beautiful spot. I was meant to help her for two weeks, but unfortunately I could only stay five days due to a family situation/bereavement. During that time I was mainly helping Camilla organise things and getting to know her, her children, and the world's cuddliest cat. She has

I really can't emphasise enough what a great location it is, and the creative vibes you get from the landscape and the house. I'm glad, that even in a short space of time, we were able to become friends and it will be interesting to see in the future the different paths we may all be leading. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Trevor and I spent about 10 days here and had a great time. Camilla is very friendly and makes you feel at home. Her home is so peaceful and is in a great area to do some hiking and sightseeing. The work was very too hard and it was a great time overall. Can't wait to come back in the future and see all her ideas come to life! Thanks again
