    Description

    Hi!
I´m Lena and I live in a little "farm" in the forest in southern Dalarna with my boyfriend Nihad.
I have two children, Felicia 23 and Frej 20. They both moved away now to live by themselves, so now there´s more space around here for visitors :)
I work as a high school teacher in Spanish, History and Social science. Sometimes I also work as guide in an adventure mine here nearby. Nihad is working in a brewery.
There are lots of chores that needs to be done at home and we need some help with that. Mainly renovation. In Dalarna the roof of a shed would be good to fix before winter and also to take in fire wood (this anyone could do).
I just bought another house up north, in Bispgården, between Sundsvall and Östersund, which is part of a future project. There, the thing I´m most interested to get help with right now is to fight an invasive plant (something everyone could do) and to insulate a big room at the attic (need to have construccion skills).
I have listed that we don´t need help during winter, but for the right person(s) we could come to an agreement to stay longer.

Things to do in the free time in Dalarna:
It´s 2,5 km to different lakes where you can have a swim.
Nice paths for running/walking in the forest.
Lots of culture activities in the area.
Since this is a former mining area, lots of old mines to discover. I work extra in the greatest one, Äventyrsgruvan (adventure mine) where you can climb a 4 hours tour. 60 km to the north is an other mine you can visit, Falu Koppargruva, which is a World Heritage. Many of the industrial heritage sites are promoted together in a concept called Ekomuseum Bergslagen.
The bus stops are 2-3 km away in two different directions.

  • Help

    Help

Right now I would love to see someone who can help with renovation, insulate an attic and fix the roof of a shed for example. Plumming skills would also be good.
We need help to fix mopeds, bikes and cars and all other things that break down ;) So that is for people with special skills in motors and construction.
We also need help with renovation projects and gardening, things anyone with a little extra time could do. And a person who can handle a chain saw would be very welcomed :)
If you would like to help cooking and baking sometimes would also be nice.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

You live in a typical Swedish red "friggebod". It´s a 10m2 house with room for 2-3 people. There is a micro wave where you can warm things, but normally we eat together in the family house (when I´m not at work). There you can also take a shower and use the toilet. There is WiFi in and outside of the family house.
We eat all kinds of food, mostly organic. If you help cooking vegan food is no problem :)
If you want to stay in a private room or house that´s also possible.
