This was my first Workaway. I enjoyed staying at Anita's place. I had my own room and bathroom. I helped her with yard cleaning after hurricane, and removed weeds in front yard and backyard, room cleaning and cooking meals. I had the opportunity to explore around Gainesville and Alachua. Thank you for the opportunity!

Caressa is a truly lovable person. She makes friends wherever she goes. She was an incredible help to me. I couldn't have completed my move without her help. I thank the stars for Anita taking me in and giving me a peaceful place to stay. Her community is quiet and her tight-knit neighbors are also very kind and welcoming. She is a true gem and has treated me like family. Anita has given me all kinds of insight about the Gainesville area, as well as surrounding areas to visit. Although I didn't get a

Amanda is a real sweetheart. She was constantly looking for ways to be helpful. She did a lot of weeding in my flower garden. She also prepared my organic vegetable garden for planting. She did some cleaning and cooking. and even detailed my car. She came with me to a birthday party and was very much liked by my friends. I would love to have her

Anita was kind enough to host me for a week. I found her property and Alachua beautiful. She has 70 pecan trees, a large garden, a very cool winding driveway that passes under arching greenery. I helped clear garden beds, weeded, offered some computer assistance. She took me and another workawayer to the nearby Krishna temple and dinner which was

This was my first Workaway and I really enjoyed my time there. Nice house out in the woods and great internet so I was able to keep up with my remote work. Most of the work was outside along with some computer stuff. Anita was a gracious host and I could arrange my work schedule as needed.

Giovanni was an easy and pleasant guest. He was a big help fixing my washing machine and poll saw. He also did some yard work. He was very cooperative and flexible. He was just with me a short time but accomplished a lot.

Annita's place was very welcoming. she offered me food and told me some of local interesting areas. I was able to help her do some maintenance work in her huge property. She was very flexible about work and that allowed me to do my own stuff on the side. Overall, i enjoyed the time I was there

I enjoyed Michele's and Tank's company. Michele is very outgoing and pleasant to have around. We did some fun things together. It was nice to have coffee made for me every morning. She did quite a bit of much needed weeding. She also did some house work. She will be welcomed back if she is in the area again.

My first Workaway! What a peaceful wonderful experience. Anita's place is in the woods so there were some nice wildlife opportunities. There was a large family of deer that came through on many mornings and one morning we even had cows come grazing! Lol, which was great since her riding mower was in getting fixed at the time.
Her property is

Anita is very inclusive and welcoming. I had the most amazing experience joining her women's group's full moon ceremony and enjoyed going to different music and dinner events with her and her friends. She was also very gracious and happy to extend my visit when I needed to stay in the area longer in order to attend a memorial service, due to a death in my family the first week I was there. It also gave me more time to get more done for her - and to enjoy more of her delicious vegetable soup.
I already miss my early morning coffee and reading/writing time on her wraparound porch. My cat, Tank, loved it there too and enjoyed hanging out on the porch (supervising my work). I'm afraid if I stayed much longer, Tank might have adopted Anita so she could stay there! You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I came to stay with Anita for almost two weeks on short notice. Her property is large and

Our stay with Murray and his wife was very educational and a treat for our digestive system. We learned that late winter in Kentucky is the beginning of farming season and there's a lot to be done. We were assigned chores by Murray's wife, and then fed far more than we earned. I would recommend anyone wanting to learn how difficult farming can be

Anita is a very nice host. We communicated well and came up with a plan to improve her property and houses. She makes wonder homemade soups and awesome salads.Due to COVID the temple of the universe was closed but I found the nearby springs amazing! I also was able to drive to Gainesville regularly and row my single shell with a lovely group.

Anita was my host for about 2 weeks in Alachua. Her place is in the middle of the woods which scared me a bit at first. But it didn't take me too long to realize that there was nothing to be scared of. The place is beautiful and peaceful, and the view from my room was astonishing.

Gave her a hand with unclogging a few closets and cabinets, reorganizing things around the house and making a lot of goods available for donations. Anita was in the process of remodeling her house, so I was able to help her picking the right color, type of painting and materials at the store. I did some caulking, sanding and plastering before painting her entire master bathroom. It came out beautiful and the best of all, she loved it!
Anita is a lovely and smart lady with a good sense of humour. She always made time to take me places. She took me one morning to the Temple of the Universe for a free yoga class and again a week later to listen to Michael Singer spiritual talk which I enjoyed very much. On a Sunday evening, she took me to a tour and a free Indian dinner feast at the Hare Krishna Temple, an enchanted place and beautiful people.
Anita is very friendly and full of energy. She is always up to something, rsrs. One evening she drove us to Gainesville to enjoy a live jazz performance at the Outdoor Cafe and afterwards to have dinner at The Top, an American cuisine restaurant at Main Street. Great food and ambiance with a fair price!
During my stay there , Anita was invited to a friend's birthday party at Poe Springs Park and she didn't hesitate to take me along with her to the event. The weather was great and we had a blast with live band, great food and people, and all that by the river. It's awesome!
The day I left we had lunch at The Great Outdoors restaurant in High Springs and from there I hit the road towards Tallahassee.

I had a wonderful stay with Anita at her beautiful Florida country home. The accommodations were very comfortable and Anita is a terrific host. I helped with gardening and interior painting. Unfortunately, Covid-19 cut my stay short and I left after only a 3 week stay. I would have loved to stay longer.
