I truly enjoyed my time at Honey Hill Farm! It was my first time taking care of hens and horses, and Anne could not have made it easier. Her written instructions were clear, with photos of where to find everyones feed, how much to feed, and where the back up feed is stored. I so enjoyed the peace and serenity in abundance on her front porch, with

Anne is a gracious and generous host, welcoming me with open arms and shedding her raincoat for me to wear as I arrived both earlier than planned and in a hurricane; and silly me, had packed my coat in an unreachable place. Anne made sure I knew where to go to see live acoustic music, and we even went to see the local Thursday night acoustic scene that all of Aiken turns out for. Her kitchen is a delight to work in. I was happy to be able to make remedies while I was there. Her well appointed spice cabinet is a trip around the world in itself! Cisco really enjoyed hanging out with Blivet, and walking together along the pasture. We were so excited, for about ten days into our stay, when the horses made us 'part of the herd' and walked along with us! I'd definitely go there again and look forward to future house, horse, hen and dog sitting at her lovely farm. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Michael and Robyn were lovely work-awayers. They were extremely handy, they know their way around hand tools and are excellent problem-solvers. They rehung several farm gates, replaced horse fence boards, and installed an amazing pulley system to hang kayaks. They clipped my chickens wings (aerial artists, they are no longer!!) which was a HUGE

I misunderstood the dates they were available, and I was only able to be present for two of the 8 or 9 days they were here and I was sick as a dog those two days. Still, Michael and Robyn picked up the list of jobs and took off running. They got along well with our three dogs, our chickens, and our horses. They were quiet and easy to be around.
I hope we meet again some day!!

We had a very relaxing, calm, quiet week at Anne's place. She had a clear list of jobs for us, and I think we got to just about all of them. Fixing gates and fences, fence painting, playing with chickens, checking the bees, hanging kayaks in the shed, filling holes in the horse pastures, relaxing. All was at our own pace. We also enjoyed her

Unfortunately Anne was not there for most of our week long visit, but she was lovely to talk to while she was there, and her daughter was a great host in her absence. Thanks Anne, highly recommended. You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

Bobbie was my first guest as a Workaway host and she was awesome! She was so very easy to get along with, share my space/home with, and happily accomplished all the tasks I needed help with. I highly recommend her as a workaway guest!! I needed help with farm type tasks, and while she was not familiar with some of the tasks, she was cheerful

She took good great care of my place, as a farm-sitter, as well, and left the house in great shape. i hope she will come back later in the summer, if she is not off seeing other continents!! Also, she is a fabulous photographer with a keen eye for interesting subject
matter.

Anne's place is exactly as described - a quiet, rural home in a beautiful part of the country. I enjoyed the tasks, especially tending to the horses and chickens! The food was amazing and plentiful, and Anne is a wonderful host. You will not want for anything, and you will leave her place relaxed and refreshed. Thanks for the awesome experience!
