Description
This secular hermitage is a place where people from all over the planet who are engaged in attempts to understand themselves and the world from which they have emerged, can find the time and a suitable and supportive environment in which to do so undisturbed. It is a place that we hope will facilitate the Spiritual Transformation of those who seek spiritual and psychological development and growth.
Writers and Researchers and Anthropologists and Students and Practitioners of Spiritual Development may also find that the hermitage supports and facilitates their activities. Those who wish to spend extended periods of time in the pursuit of these practices are also welcome.
Taking my orientation from the traditions of Sufism I am moving towards secular Universal expressions and practices of Spirituality and Spiritual development and their support and facilitation. The setting up of this hermitage is my most current engagement in this direction.
Those who voluntarily seek to assist in this initiative will be treated as people interested in this initiative and will be welcome to access its processes and dynamics and participate in its activities.Types of help and learning opportunities

This futuristic hermitage designs and deploys various programs that facilitate individual searches for new ways to live new lives for themselves and new worlds for us all.
As a volunteer you will skillfully perceive the dynamics of non-interference and spiritual facilitation and support and conduct yourself in a manner that generates an atmosphere of tranquillity and communicates these to residents as you carry out the duties required to maintain the premises, welcome and guide our guests through the formalities of registration and familiarization of house rules and regulations and the facilities provided. You will also participate in ensuring that the social media presence of the hermitage is dynamically active at all times making its presence and activities as widely known as possible.
Volunteers will participate in our programs for approximately 1.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday and provide written structured feedback which will be used to improve our programs and develop them further.
The remaining 2.5 hours will be utilized to:
(a) Capture the discourse otf the day
(b) Making audio video productions that convey your experience of this place.
(c) Making audio video productions of encounters outside the place

Mystel is located near beautiful, white sand and bright blue water beaches and the jungle where the volunteer is free to explore. There are also a lot of cafés, tiny shops and nice restaurants with local and western food. Easy access to public transportation (bus and train) to visit other areas in their free time, like Galle, Ahangama and other cool spots where you can surf, swim with turtles (and go to turtle hatcheries) , visit temples, go to Ayurveda centers and explore the Sri Lankan culture.
