Description
**Come Experience Life on Our Serpentine/Jarrahdale Farm!**
We’re nestled in the heart of Serpentine/Jarrahdale, surrounded by stunning natural beauty like the Serpentine Falls, local hiking trails, and even a serene Buddhist monastery just a stone's throw away. We're about 65 minutes from Perth.
Our 165-acre farm is more than just land; it’s home to a healing & yoga center, a family of five, a vibrant community of animals, and endless opportunities for adventure. We’re passionate about sustainable living, homeschooling, and connecting with people from all walks of life.
**What We’re Looking For:**
We're seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic individual to join our family as an extra pair of hands. Your tasks will vary from day to day, so flexibility and a love for life on a farm are key!
Here are some ways you might help:
**With the Kids:**
- Babysitting our three lively children (ages 10, 8, and 5) while Sylvana works.
- Assisting with homeschooling, especially if you can teach math, English, Spanish, or coach soccer.
**Around the Farm:**
- Pitching in with housework (cleaning, folding laundry, meal prep).
- Cooking meals—bonus points if you can introduce us to traditional dishes from your hometown!
- Gardening, weeding, and even some carpentry or fence-building if you’re handy.
- Caring for our animals, including chickens, sheep, alpacas, and 10 wonderful horses (experience with horses is a must).
**Why You’ll Love It Here:**
- Immerse yourself in farm life, with free accommodation and meals provided in exchange for about 5 hours of work per day, 5 days a week. Other options are available too.
- Enjoy two days off to explore or simply relax.
- Connect with a non-smoking, health-conscious, vegetarian-friendly household that values community, learning, and growth.
- Practice English (we all speak it), and if you're learning Spanish, you’ll fit right in—we’re learning too!
**What You Bring:**
- A love for animals (no allergies, please—our furry friends are everywhere!).
- Experience with young children (references are a huge plus).
- A positive, go-with-the-flow attitude.
- A minimum one-week stay, with the possibility to extend if we all click!
If you’re ready for a unique experience surrounded by nature, adventure, and a warm, welcoming family, we’d love to hear from you!Types of help and learning opportunities
