    Description

Ciao! I'm Tim, born '88 close to Munich/Germany. Climbing and the dream of living with nature, growing my own food and making a living in a warmer place than Germany drew me to Liguria in '23.
After years of living in South America, I decided to come back to Europe and buy a house together with three friends who all live in Germany, but use the house as temporary shelter from urban life. So, normally, I've got a lot of space, time and resources to keep the 13 hectares of grassy and fruit terraces and chestnut forest a beatiful place to live in.
Sustainable life with less garbage, pollution and stress, trying to find out what is working and needed for living away from cities, is what motivates me. I'm an online German teacher, but mostly interested in development aid and easy-accessible solutions for people in vulnerable situations and environments.

By staying and helping out, you will be in the middle of a very beautiful chestnut forest, at half an hour/15 km to the sea. There is many hiking paths leading away from the house to all directions.
If you're interested in building and growing, you can learn and practice your skills in woodcraft and growing plants, oriented by principles of permaculture, ecological and regenerative farming.

    Help

I'm just starting to settle on my land, therefore I need a lot of help for maintaining and rebuilding stone walls of terraces, building high beds/composts/outdoor facilities, planting and growing vegetables, building a greenhouse, securing earth slides, renovating bath rooms, general gardening works, cutting and making fire wood, re-open old paths and ways for the tractor, cooking meals for helpers, repairing fences and a variety of other enjoyable tasks on a precious piece of land.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We have a big farm house with three separate apartments. Normally, there will always be a room with a bed available. If the house is full, you can of course pitch a tent on the grassy terraces below apple trees or sleep in your van around the house.
I will provide basic groceries for volunteers and we take turns cooking in the community kitchen.

Savona is the nearest big town, capital of the province. There is no public transport to our house, which sits at about 600m over sea level. I can bring to or pick helpers up from Savona or the closest reachable village by train, Santuario. On weekends, I can take you to Savona if you want to spend a day at the beach etc.
There is the Parco Regionale dell'Adelasia at hiking range which has very pretty forests and views. Of course, the Ligurian sea is close by with some very nice beaches and cristal-clear water. Furthermore, the whole area is famous for mountain biking and climbing or bouldering (Finale/Varazze).
Genova is at a half-hour train ride from Savona, Milano at about two to three hours.
