Description

Hi there! I'm Estera, currently based in Austria but originally from Rep. Moldova. After graduating high school, I decided to take a gap year to discover the world and myself. I'm passionate about culture, the arts, and fostering authentic connections. In my spare time, I play all kinds of instruments, write, and may sneak around with a film camera amongst my friends & family! With a deep love for music, I cheesily like to think that I'm trying to enjoy this great symphony called life:)

Previously, I have volunteered in loads of summer camps, community centers, retirement homes, local churches etc. In April 2023 I also went on my first Workaway adventure in the south of France! I have extended experience taking care of children, organizing events, managing household chores as well as some gardening skills. On that note, I'm very keen to share my knowledge but also learn new skills!

In addition to my love for travel and community engagement, I'm an avid reader and planning to study psychology. I'm open-minded and flexible and would love to improve my language proficiency in French, Russian, and beyond. Whether it's volunteering in outdoor settings, babysitting, or delving into bigger projects, I'm ready to dive in and contribute wholeheartedly.

Above all, I’d love to meet new people and be of help in any way that I can! The world is so vast and we are so small, yet Workaway is in my opinion one of the few ways in which we can connect in organic, meaningful ways.

I'm very passionate about languages and the impact they have on interpersonal dynamics and community development! In the past years, I have had the possibility to teach German and English in various contexts, therefore I'd love to further share my knowledge and skills and gain some in other languages!

What else ...

I love to sing and play, read, do yoga, and write in my spare time. "Letters to a Young Poet" is my favorite book of all time. I instantly adore any music resembling Bob Dylan or Tschaikowsky. My family tells me I make a darn good coconut-chocolate tart and my friends will happily advertise me as a dad-joke affiliate ;)
