Hello! My name is Manouk, I live in the Netherlands. I'm 20 years old and love history, traveling, nature, sightseeing, sports and adventure. I'm social and always enjoy meeting new people.
But, of course, I also appreciate some peace and quiet every now and again ;)
Things I like to do to relax are reading, drawing (or anything creative really), baking and cooking. For sports I mainly do bouldering, but there are a lot of other sports I really enjoy, especially outside and in the water.

Another thing that will always bring me joy is spending time with animals (especially my own two very lovely cats).

I'm a first year student. I study fine arts and education. This means I study a combination of three things: the making of art myself, education (the degree includes a teaching degree) and art history (the degree includes an art history degree).

I have volunteered through workaway twice. I had a blast both times!
In Costa Rica I helped out at a dog and cat rescue for 6 weeks. This was 2 years ago.
In France I helped out at a tree planting organisation for 3 weeks. This was 1 year ago. Past february I went back to the same volunteering place again for a few weeks!

Some of my skills that I think can be pretty useful:

- I can cook and I like doing it.
- I've been a professional cleaner (for a very short period of time, but I did pick up on a few things).
- I can swim quite well and have also been trained as a lifeguard.
- I used to be a certified first aider. I still have those skills, just not a valid first aider card anymore.
- I'm quite good with my hands/creatieve.
- I have worked in a restaurant for almost three years now. I can deal with stressful situations and handle responsibility.
