Description

I am a bubbly, social, high energy creative with practical skills in construction, joinery and woodworking. I come from Wellington in New Zealand and spend my spare time either making creative projects, playing ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, or going for hikes in nature.

I have previously done Workaway with my partner Luca in France in 2022 and absolutely loved it. I am now travelling by myself for a few months while Luca is at university back in NZ. I will go back to my job there as an apprentice joiner in September.

Throughout this trip I am particularly interested in being part of eco projects and learning alternative building techniques to inform my dream of building my own home one day.

I make friends easily and enjoy community building projects - working and living together with a group of other energetic and enthusiastic people. I work hard and love learning new skills.

I am currently a joiner's apprentice, with the goal of becoming a furniture designer and maker. I have studied fine woodworking and furniture making, and worked as a builder's apprentice as well. I have always enjoyed creating with lots of different materials and dabble in sewing, painting, upcycling and leatherwork.

I am a fast learning and a hard worker, who is very excited to learn new skills and ways of life.
