Description
Hello there! I'm Francesco, and I'm on an incredible journey through Asia while working part-time on my laptop. After exploring the captivating landscapes of South East Asia for six months, I'm thrilled to dive into the wonders of Japan!
I love spending time in nature and I really enjoy getting in contact with people from different cultures and having fun with them, so I'm really looking forward to connecting with Japanese people!
Music has been a significant part of my life since I was 12 years old when I started playing the piano. Although I haven't had the chance to practice much lately due to my travels, I still carry a passion for playing and composing music. Sharing melodies and exploring musical harmonies would be a delightful experience.
In addition to my love for music, I am also a physicist with a deep curiosity about the workings of the universe. I never shy away from a conversation about scientific topics! So feel free to hit me up with hard questions and we can try to figure out how the universe works together!
Being Italian, I also love cooking! I would be happy to share my knowledge of traditional Italian cuisine with you. And I'm really excited to learn about Japanese cooking too!
I will need to work a few hours a week on my laptop, but my schedule is flexible. I can work whenever I have time, and I only work part-time, so it won't take too much time away from other activities. I have been working while traveling for a long time now, so I found a nice balance between my work and free time.
This will be my first Workaway experience, but I have volunteered as a WWOOFer in Ireland and Portugal before, and I had a great time. I'm sure I'll have a wonderful time with Workaway too!
If you're in search of a reliable and helpful guest, look no further! I bring a positive and adaptable attitude, eager to contribute to your projects and embrace the local culture. Let's create meaningful connections, share experiences, and make the most of our time together. I'm excited to be a part of your Workaway journey, so please reach out if you're interested in hosting me!Interests

I am good at manual work, and I am not afraid of heavy physical work. I am not a trained carpenter, but I know how to use most tools required for construction-related jobs. I always helped my family build things in our garden at home.
In my childhood house we had a garden and I often helped my father with gardening. I also spent a few months volunteering as a helper in garden activities and housework in Ireland and Portugal, so I am familiar with the volunteering framework in general.
I am comfortable among animals, and I love spending time with them. In my life I have owned multiple dogs, many cats, chicken, a rabbit and for a couple of years we had a horse mum with a fowl. In Portugal I worked in a riding center with more than 15 horses. I am also comfortable with dogs, cats, cows and any other farm animal.
I am a good driver, I drive cars and motorbikes and I never had an accident. I am also allowed to drive in Japan, since I have an international driving license.
I am good in general with using the computer.
I am a good cook, so in case you need any help in the kitchen I would be more than happy to give you a hand!
I speak Italian, Spanish, English, a little bit of German, and I know some basic expressions in Japanese (I can read hiragana and katakana fairly well, and I know a few kanji). I would LOVE to learn as much Japanese as I can!
I can play the piano, the accordeon, and only a little bit the saxophone. And I know a lot of music theory. I have a bit of experience teaching music and the piano, as I taught privately during my university years. I also have experience with composing music, so if this is something you need, I'll be happy to help!
I also have experience teaching other subjects such as mathematics, physics, and science. I was a private teacher for one year, and I really enjoy teaching in general.
I have a good scientific knowledge, and if you need to look up some scientific questions, I would know where to look and possibly could be able to answer you directly!
I work as a software developer, so I am good at computer programming even though I doubt that will be very useful in most cases. I can in principle make a website, but that is not my expertise. If this is something you need, and you are willing to have a bit of patience, I could try to do it :)Age
