Description

We are a language teacher/translator and a data scientist that have decided to take some time off from the rat race. We're currently travelling in Central America. For a while now, we’ve been dreaming of learning how to sail in order to travel the world on sailboats eventually. We would therefore like to help out on a sailboat for some time, so we can acquire some basic sailing skills and get to know the cruising lifestyle on a budget. We don't have much prior experience when it comes to sailing but we can make up for it with other skills, such as cooking, cleaning, helping out with marketing and writing, socializing etc.

We’re both easy-going and friendly people that like to have some fun but are also into deep conversations. Additionally, we’re clean and organized, can cook and work hard. We’re motivated by our love for the ocean. Each day spent swimming, snorkeling, diving or surfing is a perfect day for us.

We are quick learners and bring along a lot of curiosity and motivation. We have worked in retail and hospitality during our university studies and therefore know how to cater to guests. We are well versed in the areas of marketing and IT as well as education and translation. We are both fluent in German and English, Iris also speaks Mandarin and can survive in French and Spanish. We’re clean and organized, can cook and work hard.
