We enjoyed our time with Maeve and Erica. They are both hardworking, flexible, good communicators, easy going, and skilled. They would often anticipate needs and ensure that a job was completed. We really enjoyed our time with Khadijah. Her first day she jumped right in, helping us place and install birdhouses with a local nonprofit. She helped tend the bees and grew more comfortable and confident on her second attempt(noteworthy because it sometimes takes folk a few attempts). She helped us paint one of our outbuildings as well as

I had a wonderful stay with Rick and John! They were super welcoming, accommodating and kind to me. The work was regular and structured, so it was easy to plan my schedule around it. My experience was amazing! I spent 20 days with Rick and John and I loved them!

During the day we worked the ground, did many manual activities and enjoyed time togheter.
I met many friends from all over the States. I don't have a good level of english, but they helped me with patience and dedication.
I did lots of different jobs, it was an opportunity to learn something about the permacuture life, plants, tips about country life.
You never get bored with Rick and John, and every time off is a way to enjoy of being together. They took me out to eat, for shopping, to see the fireworks, to explore the towns and villages close.
I hope to come back in the future!
I still miss you!

This feedback is long overdue. Loo worked with us in the summer of 2022. She arrived in a used ambulance that she was repurposing to become her "mobile" home. I had a fantastic workaway with John and Rick. There were things to build, trees to plant, gardens to mulch, landscapes to tend to. I always felt I was contributing to their projects in a meaningful way as an equal, not just as a helper. I had plenty of time for myself, and loved being able to hang out in the cabin, or go exploring in the woods.

We really enjoyed Caleb's workaway with us. He is hard working, flexible, and creative. I got the chance to stay with Rick and John for about a month. It was an amazing experience! I was especially happy that I got to work with their bee hives! It's something I've always wanted to do. I also got the chance to go for a relaxing afternoon swim in their pond. Their property is beautiful and is nice to walk around in the evenings. This

My feedback is long overdue, I apologise. My workaway with Rick and John in the beautiful Butternut Valley was back in September when it was still warm enough to enjoy the outdoor shower. Lindsey and her friend Dylan were amazing. Wow, where to begin! This was my second Workaway, I brought my friend Dylan along with me and we both had such an amazing experience! We helped Rick and John with a bunch of different projects around their huge and beautiful property. We loved that we got the chance to learn about multiple projects as opposed to just one. We had our eyes opened to

We also learned about a bunch of plants, ones we didn't even know existed. Along with that, the cabin we got to stay in was perfect for us. Not only was it beautiful but it had everything we needed and the bed was very comfy. We were provided with food from both the local store and food they grew/harvested themselves along with some of the best honey and blue berries we've ever had. If you're looking for an experience to get in touch with nature, this is the best place for it. There's also a lot to see near by in your off time. Rick and John are such nice people and great to work along side with. Thank you for the amazing experience!

Bill and Lisa are a dream team. We would recommend them highly. Hard working, thoughtful, adaptable, creative, and eager to learn. They are self-directed and able to complete tasks independantly.
