  We are a German family living in the countryside in Benajarafe, 30 minutes east of Malaga.
  
  Gerhard (49) is an online journalist and Maren (38) is a language teacher and translator. Our son Levi was born in November 2022.
  We both work from home (Maren currently isn't working)
  We have 2 dogs and 1 cat.
  
  At the moment we are looking for a Spanish speaker (alternatively someone who speaks German) to join us in November and help us with a variety of tasks.
  
  We are looking for a kind, child- and animal loving person.
  We would like you to play with Levi a couple of hours every day and speaking Spanish only to him, so that he will pick up the language faster as he also starts nursery in November and at the moment ony speaks German (has already learned a few words in Spanish though and enjoys it).
  Alternatively we would also consider someone who speaks German,but we don't want to confuse him with a third language at the moment.
  Also we need a little help around the house like vacuuming (dog hair...) and sweeping the terrace, but not much.
  Ideally some spring cleaning and tasks and sorting out stuff that we never get around to doing.
  There is also some gardening to be done if you like or if you are good at fixing things there are always some things that need improving.
  Besides the chore tasks of "entertaining" Levi and daily vacuuming we can see together what you can do depending on your preferences.
  Of course you must be an animal lover and it would be great if we could go away for a long weekend while you look after our animals once they know you.
  We also regularly rescue animals and possibly need some help with that (vet trips,craving for them etc)
  
  Also we would love to have someone who likes to cook🙂 We like cooking too,but always tend to eat the same things.
  So would really love to take turns at cooking, so one day one of us cooks for all of us and one day you.
  
  We invite you to practice your German with us if you are not a native speaker or also English as we're both fluent in English.
  
  We have been travelling a lot around the world ourselves, Maren has also been a volunteer, and we are looking to host likeminded people.
  We love travelling, meeting other people from other cultures.
  We are looking for mature (mentality, not necessarily age) and independent people who don't need our care and entertainment 24/7. We love the company, cooking together, eating together etc, but we also like our privacy (especially in the evening when we like to retreat after Levi has gone to bed).
  Also Maren has chronic migraine,so sometimes just needs some quiet time (the main reason why we need some help with Levi).
  
  Please be aware that we are in the countryside and the beach, shops, bus stop are a 30 minute walk away (although we might sometimes be able to give you a ride).
  So if you are easily bored or don't like walking this might not be the right place for you.
  
  We can only host a single volunteer at the moment.
  
  Ideally we're looking for someone who can stay between around 4 weeks, there is the option to extend if we are all happy.

  Volunteering schedule is somewhat flexible, but we expect you to do the hours. also we have some key hoursthat we definitely need covered
  
  we are in the countryside and the town of Benajarafe with the shops, beach, bus stop (to Malaga or in the other direction) is a 30 minute walk away (we can also sometimes give you a ride)

  We use the internet for work including video calls unfortunatey there is no good wifi in your room though, so if you need wifi every day for several hours it's not suitable
