I´m writing this feedback much later than I expected. I had a really nice and special stay at Tom´s. He welcomed me home and took great care of me by cooking and showing me the secrets of Connemara.
He explained everything to me with much patience and understanding and he teach a great amount of things. Just to mention a couple of examples: we

We have a lovely time in the evening while we had dinner with some background music. And as he is a rugby lover, we also enjoyed a game were Ireland ended being the winner.
Both Carmel and Tom are very generous and didn´t mind to share their time with me. So, the three of us went to a couple of concerts together and we also cooked a delicious Irish breakfast at home.
Tom´s is a nice place to stay. You would be surrounded by a beautiful landscape with the green of the land and the blue of bay. Summer must be lovely there, where you can take the bike and get lost in the road.
So to sum up, thank you Tom for everything you gave me and please don´t doubt to contact me if you are ever around Pamplona.Feito pelo anfitrião para o Workawayer (Maider)

I went to Tom's for a short stay. Tom is very kind and welcoming. He likes to share his knowledge and his daily life. He's very accommodating with meals and adapts to tastes and choices.
In the morning, I cleaned the goat and pony pens. Then I helped with the gardening, weeding, harvesting fruit/vegetables, digging... We help out for about 4/5

My disappointment is that Tom's page is really old (at least 5 years) and no longer corresponds to what he wants. In his ad he's looking for riders for his horses if possible. In the end, I didn't do that at all and his horses aren't even at his place anymore.
The house lacks a bit of order and maintenance.
My experience at Tom's is still good, the region is very pretty, I advise you to come with your car.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Another interesting part is work itself. Your job is kinda typical rural as weeding, cleaning goats house, milking them, taking care of horse poops and any needed work around house/land. Important to say that this job is not for everybody and make yourself sure you are okey with getting dirty.
Connemara… just beautiful and outstanding place that you have to see on your own!! The only problem is getting out of the living place somewhere around (for example tvelwe bens, carna etc.). Anyway Tom has no problem to use his car and help you figure out this problem if you make an appointment with him.
To sumarize the experience… it was just perfect. We are glad with my boyfriend we did this and looking forward to see Ireland and Tom again.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

I've spent 1 month with Tom and I can say he is a welcoming, understanding and very generous host. He made me feel at home from the first day. This was my first Workaway experience and Tom and Olga who were very kind and gave me a warm welcome at their home in Connemara.

I also worked with Tom for his friend Robert who has a large house nearby; we cut wood together, and did general garden maintenance.
Tom and Olga's home was very authentic with Irish charm. Their welcome was especially warm.
We ate together all the time, enjoyed great conversations and sometimes played card games.
Tom gave me a bike while I was there so I could explore the area. I went to nearby Roundstone by bike and one day Olga took me to the beautiful Sky Road and other attractions like Kylemore Abbey and Diamond Hill in Letterfrack for the Connemara National Park. We also ate at a famous restaurant in Roundstone one evening. They also brought to Galway one day so Could explore the city.
I was sad leaving but it was important for me to have new experiences. Tom was so kind and offered to help me if I ever have problems traveling in Ireland. At the end of my stay Olga drove me to Galway so I could catch a bus easily to my next Workaway host.

I spent four wonderful weeks at the lovely cottage of Olga & Tom in beautiful Connemara, from middle of February until middle of March this year (2019). I will never forget this time of my life!
Olga and Tom are the nicest people. We had great, deep conversations full of laughter, fun, music, talking about life, love, health, healing and many
… read more more topics. Food was always great and delicious and I enjoyed our times of having lunch (where would we beeee without teeeaaa?), preparing dinner and cooking together (those Atlantic mussels were so yummy!). We spent a lot of “free” time together, going to a concert, to the pub (watching rugby, which I still don’t understand – but just look at their arses, haha!), driving around Connemara and visiting friends. The evenings, which we mostly spent together in the kitchen by the fire, were so snugly and cosy… we played cards (wizard, yeah) or laid out jigsaw-puzzles, listened to Irish trad. on the radio and played with Mili…
Mili, the enchanting dog-lady had absolutely won my heart. I enjoyed so much that she was there, listening to and looking at me with those mesmerizing blue eyes, letting me cuddle her or pamper her with a treat. Unfortunately, Mili now is not there anymore as she was suffering from epileptical seizures so badly that she had to be delivered from her pain and now has crossed the rainbow-bridge. Mili will always hold a place in my heart!
Who was definitely also great company was Theo… the cat. He was amazing and very gentle, always ready to be cuddled. And I’ve never known a cat with so much hunger (and at the same time such little weight).
In my little room upstairs I felt very comfortable… the bed was great and it was lovely to have my own space to draw back to, if I wanted (which I hardly ever wanted).
Work did not feel like work as I always enjoyed what I did. The animals (goats and horses) were such great individuals that I didn’t mind any work, which sometimes was quite exhausting… I loved these animals, especially Essa and Hazel to whom I developed special relationships, I would think. I really enjoyed learning to milk the goats (which worked right away, yeah!) and my alone-time with Hazel, but also burning the (gruesome) gorse. I never really looked at the clock, and I didn’t mind to work all day as I was really enjoying myself and did this freely. Work just had to be done!
Next time (and I am sure there will be a next time) I’ll stay longer! Miss you Olli & Tom! hugs!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.
