I spent one month at the farm and absolutely loved my experience. The area is beautiful and the farm has so much to offer. I spent the month picking raspberries, blackberries and cherries. The work was relaxed and pleasant and you could choose which hours you wanted to work which was nice. Lunch and dinner were provided at the restaurant which was delicious, and breakfast supplies were stocked in the volunteer house. The house was nice and we each had our own room for the majority of my stay. The farm is right on the bus route so it was very easy to get to Puerto Varas, Frutillar, Puerto Octay and Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. Cornelia was amazing and her family was incredibly kind, warm and patient with my mediocre Spanish. This was the best volunteer experience I've had, you would be lucky to volunteer here. Thank you for hosting me!

We loved hosting Emilie and Machel for four weeks over the spring. They were kind, respectful, and always open to learn and try new things! Tasks included weeding, watering, helping clean & prep the greenhouse for spring, propagating plants, hauling wood, trimming trails, and more. We appreciated their attention to detail and positive attitudes. Wishing you all the best with your future adventures!

First thing to say: Grazie mille alla squadra Levante! I was lucky to work at the Levante Nautical Center as a sailing instructor. The kids were adorable! It's a real pleasure to work with them. Not to mention the fleet of dinghies in PERFECT CONDITION! Life at Camp is very charming. Little wooden cabins and trees everywhere and big family tables to share Sergio's meals together. Beware, Italian food will never leave you! For volonteers and instructors differents options for sleeping (tents, bunkbeds or caravans). Not necessarily need a car but it is a plus to have it if you want to reach the town (less than 10minutes aways) independently. And last but not least, the young, fun-loving team (aka mickla, the best of them all) is a real plus. I felt directly integrated, despite the fact that I'm a beginner in Italian. Thank you all so much! I'll be back as soon as I can to sail the magnificent, and often windy waters of La Saline!

Three weeks at Levante felt both like 3 months and not nearly enough. Being surrounded by the beautiful beautiful bell-iss-imo landscape and even more beautiful friends was a treat and looking back maybe the best time I’ve ever had in Italy. The group is creative and hard working and very welcoming, when I arrived I didn’t speak much italian and when I left I was more or less able to hold whole conversations. Everything and everyone is lovely, from the camping’s staff singing every morning as he cleans in the shower house, to Sergio singing Fabrizio De Andre as he makes masterpieces in the kitchen. Sailing in the La Maddalena archipelago, Dio in ghiaia! That was a bucket list thing I didn’t even know I had on my bucket list. Thank you Bacca and everyone else for making me feel so welcome and for three great weeks👏

Thijs is very friendly, easygoing, humorous, spontaneous, and did a good job helping us in the garden, by cutting our mango trees and shreddering the wood and leaves. He was with us for 4,5 weeks and in this time he helped a lot. I would really recommend him to other hosts. Thanks, and wishing you all the best on your upcoming trips.

I stayed with Frances 1 week and a half. It was my first workaway experience and I think I got it super right and can say I had exactly the kind of experience you can expect in here ! Frances made sure I’d feel comfortable, she really put all her energy to make sure I’d get to see all her favorite places and she told me a lot of very interesting things about the area. The work we did was always done in a fun way and I learned a lot of things (basically 80% of what we did was a first time for me : moaning grass, chopping and stacking wood, cleaning the chicken house and getting fresh eggs in the morning, sanding shelves…) Thank you so much for introducing me to wim hof also (that was fun and very good), thank you for your incredible energy and positive attitude ! I hope to stay in contact and see you again in the future 🙂 You would definitely be in great hands with Frances and Oscar (her beautiful and nice dog)

I stayed with Eric for two weeks in March 2024 at his aunt’s house in Sabana Grande. I mostly helped Eric harvest coconuts which he sells, and I found this to be a very valuable experience. Eric is knowledgeable about what he does and there is a lot you can learn from him. I would like to stay longer again so that I may learn more. Eric is also kind, he shares everything and his family is truly welcoming and wonderful people as well. I felt completely comfortable staying there as an 18 y/o female not from PR. Anyone looking to work and live more sustainably and harmoniously should reach out to Eric, you will learn many things. I will certainly be returning soon.

I couldn't have asked for a better first workaway experience. I was welcomed into the team and environment straight away. From Rebecca our manager to our co volunteers we created a bond and only strengthened that bond each day. The hostel space is perfect to build relationships organically and naturally between volunteers and guests. Whilst there is a clear distinction between volunteers and guests, socially those lines are blurred. We all felt as one and constantly and effortlessly volunteers and guests would socialise together and have a lot of fun. The tasks are very manageable from reception, bar work, hosting trivia night and taking guests on activities throughout the week. Rebecca did a good job of setting the expectations for us as volunteers to ensure that the hostel ran smoothly and effortlessly for our guests. Rebecca puts in a lot of hard work to make sure that our guests have the best experience possible and it shows. It also rubs off on us as volunteers to support her to ensure we work as a team to create that welcoming and social environment for our guests. I volunteered for 6 weeks and it was the best 6 weeks of my life to date. So rich in connection with strangers who become friends from all over the world. MX has such a positive, supportive and energising environment that will make your stay as a volunteer a travel experience you will not forget. I will never forget my time here and a massive thank you to Laurens, Rebecca and all my co volunteers for an epic time here.

Tom came to us right when we really needed someone. We were dealing with the death of a loved one. So much work to do with no desire to do anything but bare essentials. Tom is a really hard worker. My acre+ property was covered with weeds due to unusually heavy rains, followed by really warm weather. Most important to me was our family cemetery. It looks perfect now, as does all the rest. On his last day with us, he helped my son work, cleaning out our house across the street. It was a smelly, hot task. They worked really well together and got it done and ready to paint. Thanks Tom. We had a good time with Karin and Roger with a good exchange of knowledge by a good glass of wine. We managed to do a good load of work in this week even the weather wasn't always with us. Hope to see you again sometime in the future. Thank you and all the best.

this was such a beautiful property and perfect location. I reccomend this 111% the place is stunning and the pool is the cleanest I have ever swam in and is literally infused with rose quartz. 😱 James is a caring host and will always make sure you and comfortable and have everything you need. I felt very lucky to have stayed here and the work ( I was gardening ) was so nice ! thanks James !

I spend one week with Claudio, Elisa and Ninni and it was amazing! bellisimo! Elisa and Claudio are really kind and openminded people and i felt like home from the first moment on. The place is just incredible- each day i was amazed by the most beautiful view over the sea and the mountains and the apperetivo at the sunset bar was definitely one of my favorite parts of the day:) the work was really great- a lot of work with pruned olive trees as well as in the vegetable garden (planting, watering and of course hunting slugs ;) ). Elisa and Claudio gave good instructions but also let us the choice and most importantly trusted in us workawayers. it is amazing to see how big of a varitely of fruits and vegetables they have (unfortunately most of it wasn't ripe yet but there where strawberries and artichokes in abundance!). There is the small but amazing village Monteodorisio close by and the beautiful beaches of Vasto to discover by bus. I will definitely come back! Grazie per tutti. non vedo l'ora di tornare! :)

If you like working with horses and taking care of kids, this is the best workaway for you. What an amazing month we spent with Salvatore and his family! Right from the start, Salvatore wanted to make sure we were comfortable and having a good time. We were in charge of the maintenance of stables, as well as feeding the horses every morning and evening. We even have the opportunity to ride them around the landscapes of the beautiful Trapani! Salvatore would be more than happy to teach you horseback riding (if you don't know how to) and share all his knowledge about these incredible animals. Child caring was an important assignment during our stay in Salvatore's home: three days per week we would spend the afternoons with Rugge (6) and Aurelia (2), and prepare them supper afterwards. We had amazing and fun times with them, they love playing and are super active kids! Other tasks included building stables and installing electric fences. We were given the liberty to manage each chore ourselves, but Salvatore was always willing to lend us a hand if we needed to. You will have lots of free time to relax and explore the nearby towns are beaches as there are buses near the house ready to take you there. If you have the chance, you'll be invited to visit the family's friends, enjoy meals together and get to know the authentic Sicilian lifestyle :) We leave Castelvetrano with beautiful memories and experiences we'll never forget, all thanks to the kindness and joyfullness of Salvatore and his family. Thomas and Emma were exceptional. They felt like family when they left. They were self motivated, saw things to do. Very capable, lovely couple and very mature for their young age.

the month I stayed here was honestly one of the best ones in my whole life! the whole experience was just amazing- the atmosphere, the poeple, the nature, the work! Manu and Rob are the most kind people, always making sure you feel at home, always smiling and laughing. We all felt like a family from the minute we arrived on, caring and looking out for one another, making jokes and exchanging knowledge and stories. We went on hikes together, to the flea market and Rob even took us climbing and canoeing- an absolut dream! The work was always physically demanding, but amazing (from moving rocks to building steps and fences as well as painting the house) it's perfect for people who like to move their body and work outside- I think I never slept better than after a day of work und the sun, relaxing with a view on the alps, going for incredible walks and eating amazing food! Rob and Manu always give clear instructions, are open for ideas and I learned sooooo much from them- about permaculture, about nature and about life! i can't wait to come back and to see our amazing international team again! i will for always cherish this experience in my heart! merci beaucoup pour tout! a très bien tôt!

Julie and Wayne were incredibly welcoming, creating the most lovely experience during my stay. I truly felt like part of the family. The tasks they provided were not only fun but also varied, adding excitement to each day. They went above and beyond to ensure we experienced the local culture and visited amazing places, making the entire experience unforgettable. They will always have a place in my heart. Finn is a quiet yet incredibly smart volunteer. Nicholas is a dynamic and energetic volunteer. His enthusiasm and loud presence make him stand out. Their dedication and hard work shine through in every task they took. Finn fearlessly battled rosehip alongside Nicholas, demonstrating both determination and resilience. Moreover, they planted an impressive number of trees, (Raulis) contributing significantly to our environmental efforts. Their commitment, energy and dedication is truly commendable & admirable.

George and all the hostel's staff are awesome, they understand what is the right task for you and they leave you the freedom to self-manage if you want. It was really inspiring to find new ideas together to fix and to improve some objects or fornitures. Also, me Linda, I am an artist and I could organise two different workshops and it was so good to teach something new to people from different cultures. We planned to stay there for 10 days but at the end we stayed for more than 2 weeks because this place make you feel like at home. While staying here obviously you will not only work but you will have the chance to meet interesting people from all over the world and to do some activities together or to cook dinner together when you want. We definitely will come back here one day.
