We are a non-profit grow-to-donate, organic, diversified veggie, fruit, and flower farm in Newcastle, Maine. Everything we grow we donate to those in need of food and joy in our community. We partner with 35+ local pantries, schools, summer lunch and educational programs to bring our nutrient-dense produce to community members experiencing hunger. We have welcomed hundreds of volunteers to the farm and work to create deep
community connections on the farm and beyond. We farm using no-till, no-spray, organic, rotational planting tactics.Types of help and learning opportunities

We are very open and accommodating to any, and all, kinds of people. We love learning about new cultures and places. We love speaking other languages. We welcome hundreds of volunteers and crew members from of all different backgrounds, locations, ages, and cultures each season. We typically offer regular shared meals and the crew often enjoys their lunches together. Sharing stories in the fields is highly encouraged!
Help
We seek passionate and energetic crew members and volunteers to work in conjunction with a farm manager, current crew, the founders, and a lot of motivated volunteers of all ages. We are in search of someone committed to non-profit work, our mission, and organic, no-till, no-spray farming. We seek someone who is excited to work on our acre and a half of diversified vegetables, fruit, flowers, herbs, and a small orchard. Work could include: seeding, transplanting, weeding, mulching, pruning, harvesting, cleaning, and, of course, much much more.
Our ideal candidates have experience with organic no-till practices, volunteer management, and flowers, and is excited to build not only our farm but also community connections. They love people and share their love of fresh, nutritious produce and joyful flowers.Languages

What else ...
Our land is located in Midcoast, Maine less than a mile from the Damariscotta Lake and downtown Newcastle/Damariscotta. From our door you can walk for hours in the woods on trails that span our and the neighbors’ land (and probably not see a soul), you can walk to town for a movie, book, or food.
Very close by you can swim in the lake and ocean and hike in many beautiful spots. We're located a mile from Damariscotta Lake, a mile from the ocean, 1 hour from Portland, and 3 hours from Boston. The area has an abundance of local hiking and beaches and Downtown Damariscotta, just a mile away, has shops, services, cafes, a movie theater, restaurants, and lots of charm.
We can accommodate any kind of diet but we do eat local organic meat and dairy products so they will be around.A little more information
