We spent two wonderful weeks with John and Fi (and little Rosie 🐶). We wouldn't know where to begin to explain what a wonderful experience this has been for us. They are two wonderful people, and being able to help a little with the fantastic project they have has enriched us a lot. We would come back without hesitation. Thank you very much for everything! ❤️

I had a wonderful time staying with Ashok, Sunita, and their family for 2.5 weeks. I can definitely recommend this workaway! The whole family was so welcoming, kind, friendly, and helpful. I felt comfortable with them from the very first day. Their house is located in a lovely neighborhood up on a hill that overlooks Pokhara. It's a peaceful area filled with friendly people. During my stay the tasks was mostly in the garden, turning over soil, mixing compost, planting vegetables, pulling up unwanted plants, and watering. Ashok does a great job of explaining the tasks and you can always ask for help or clarification if you need it. He is also very knowledgeable about gardening and farming, so you can learn a lot from him if you are interested! We usually worked for about 3 hours in the morning and then had the rest of the day free. Sunita is an excellent cook and provides three meals a day, which are all absolutely delicious. The accommodation was very comfortable with more than enough space for multiple volunteers. I was lucky enough to get to share my 2.5 weeks here with a few other volunteers, all of whom were wonderful people and made my stay even more enjoyable. All in all I greatly enjoyed my time staying with Ashok's family. I learned so much from them about life in Nepal and am so grateful to them for welcoming me into their home. I would like to end this review by saying a massive thank you to the entire family, especially to Ashok and Sunita. Your kindness will not be forgotten!

Dear Jamie, We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your help in our projects. You are still very young and yet you have an impressive amount of skills and knowledge in many areas. It was also wonderful for us how you always see the positive side of life. You are interested in everything, you like to ask questions and, above all, you listen carefully to the answers, which is not a matter of course. It was a pleasure to work with you, you learn quickly and carry out your tasks with care and attention. You looked after our garden, planted potatoes, tended young trees, weeded and sowed as if you had never done anything else! Even in your free time, you often asked if you could help out and took an active part in family life. Your cheerful nature brought a lot of joy into our home. Your help was valuable to us and we warmly recommend you to others. Our house is open to you, keep up the good work, because the way you smile into life, life smiles back at you! Sincerely, Susanne, Mathieu and all the residents of Crêt-Maunet

Where do I start? I feel so lucky to help Charen as my first Workaway experience. It has been an absolutely amazing experience. The tasks she gave us are so easy and don't take that much time to do at all. On top of that, she's such a caring and lovely person. All the reviews said she's more like a Mom to everyone. That's so true. Between the homemade bread and breakfasts she took us out to eat, I feel so well taken care of here. I also learned so much about Malaysian culture thanks to her. The two weeks passed by so quickly! This is definitely a second home for me now. I look forward to coming back again in the future.

I stayed at Shamser's School in Chiti for 1 month, and absolutely loved it! I can highly recommend this workaway. Chiti is a small and peaceful village, surrounded by rolling hills and filled with friendly people. The work Shamser is doing for the children in Chiti is inspirational. It was very interesting to chat with him about his life experiences and his work. He is very friendly, welcoming, helpful, and kind. A wonderful host! There was lots of variety in the tasks, anything from construction to helping in the kitchen to doing one-on-one lessons with the children. Myself and the other volunteers would alternate tasks each day so everyone got a chance to try everything. There were three meals per day (dahl baht in the morning and evening, and whatever the kids were eating for lunch). Chiti has some small shops and restaurants where you can buy your own food too. Lots of options. The accommodation was good, with shared dorm rooms for the volunteers and a big common room as well. In my free time I was able to get out for many walks and runs along the dirt roads surrounding the school. There are some great views looking down on the valley and across to the mountains. Just beautiful. All in all I would like to say a huge thank you to Shamser for welcoming me to Chiti and helping make my time in Nepal so memorable. Thank you also to my fellow volunteers, who were a wonderful group of people and such a joy to spend time with! I am so grateful to have had this experience.

I had planned to help at Coco Rico Hostel for about two weeks and ended up staying for an entire month. Every single person here - you guys know who you are <3 - is simply amazing. From the second we arrived, we immediately felt welcomed into the Port Barton community and Coco Rico family. And that's really what it is; a family. We connected so fast with the local team and the other volunteers that helping out in the evenings or at the boat parties during daytime didn't even feel like work anymore. My best friend and I also got the chance to organize a whole Easter celebration with a free kids' breakfast and egg painting in the morning and an Easter challenge with prizes for the adults in the evening (thanks Phil for buying our huge list of Easter items in Puerto :D). We left with a full heart and tears in our eyes (actually more like ugly crying tbh). Thank you to everyone who made this time so special, love you guys <3 P.S To prospective volunteers: don't think about it, just come here and you'll understand!

Even tough some time passed that we write this feedback we didnt forget Thomas and the good Times we had with him and the other lovely volunteers that were here at the same time. Thomas is a really friendly, relaxed and helpful person and just valuable to have around:) but he is also doing all the different tasks, from getting dirty plastering the wall with clay, to climbing the roof to renew it or doing the dishes. Thank you for your help Thomas, and all the best for your jouney to the east :)

Eliezl and her family welcomed me into their lives so wholeheartedly that it was incredibly hard to leave after two weeks. They're a very hardworking family and still make time to introduce volunteers to Filipino culture. For some, it might take a little time to get used to the way of living (on the beach, bucket showers, limited electricity) but let me tell you - a new world will open up for you. Eliezl and her husband run an organic farm called Trinidad Eco Farm and they also rent out cabanas on their property on the beach. That's why sometimes they need volunteers on the farm as well as the beach property. I helped them set up a simple website and get their social media channels started with photos and a strategy - any digital nomads out there be sure to mention to Eliezl that you can help with socials! After I had left Elizel's place but was stranded in the area with a flat tire late in the evening, she didn't even hesitate and invited me to stay the night. She gave my best friend and me shirts to wear to sleep and shampoo to shower - she really is a kind soul. We even celebrated my best friend's birthday at her place by making banana pancakes while grandma Elena sang traditional Filipino songs. Thank you for everything Eliez, César, grandma Elena, Ellie and Evan <3

Jan and Marlies were fantastic, they got stuck into the tasks, helped on community projects, neighboring vineyards as well as our property. And they cooked us wonderful food, helped around the house, looked after the dogs wonderfully and were so much fun to have around. We'd welcome them back anytime and definitely recommend as helpers and house guests.

It was a pleasure to stay with Mike and little Billy! He is such a warm soul. The project is really cool and allowed me to learn heaps, especially as Mike happily explains and shares his knowledge on everything around the property and its surroundings. In addition he always made sure I had everything I needed and that everyone was happy, which made my experience as a whole amazing! He recommended cool places to go in the area too which I appreciated. I recommend this workaway to anyone looking for an opportunity to learn in good company. Thank you again Mike ⭐️

I stayed at Puraran Beach for about two months, helping with German and French language classes for guests staying at the resort. Conz and his team were the most wonderful people to get to know - we shared countless laughs and cozy guitar evenings. They'd take other volunteers and me to the most gorgeous viewpoints, waterfalls, and surf spots. And then just when I thought it couldn't get any better he and the boys would whip out a thermos filled with hot tea. My days here started with a giant mug of black coffee that I'd sip steps away from the ocean, some guitar practice, and a delicious oatmeal breakfast prepared by the one and only Gian (his food was the best food I've had in the Philippines). Then I'd chat with the guests and do the first lessons. A typical language lesson would take around one hour and would normally occur in a very relaxed manner while walking on the beach for example. Afterwards, all the volunteers and guests would come together for lunch, followed by a second language class. Depending on the swell, we could go surfing in the mornings or afternoons (I sadly broke my toe just when I got here so I couldn't do much surfing). Overall, if you're thinking about coming here, do it :) You'll get to experience the purest form of kindness firsthand <3 P.S. For the solo traveling women out there: while the team consisted of only men, I felt super safe and respected at all times.

Joscha & Katharina we're a joy to have with us. They helped hard, were very friendly and fun and they even watched the dog while I was away! Any host will be lucky to have them as volunteers. Guys you are missed! We hope your journey is long and joyful!

The experience of meeting and welcoming Chris and Sandra was truly incredible! They stayed for 2 weeks and were extremely kind, polite and respectful. We were able to spend many hours chatting, learning about their habits, stories and getting to know each other better. They helped us organize a social cinema event for the community, planted trees, took care of seeds, watered plants and helped us with the maintenance of some structures. A special moment was when they kindly agreed to accompany us to a school where small children study, and there we were able to talk about conservation and reducing the use of plastic. We collected some garbage and planted trees around the school. We had the opportunity to walk around and get to know the area, go to the beach, the river and meet other special people! Thank you so much for the lovely experience! See you! 😊🌿🐒

They were super kind and have calm and laid-back atmosphere. Their baby was so cute and I enjoyed so much playing with her. It was great two weeks to start the life in Haida Gwaii. They took me to octopus and crab hunting, hiking, sand sampling to sea by boat, Yoga class:) The house(next to their house) I stayed was so beautiful and cozy. It was great to have private space. Also, the food was amazing! I surprised that they have various ingredients and cooking equipment. I've learned a lot about milking goats, making cheese and yogurt, Haida and Canadian culture. Thank you so much for great experiences!

Elena a special person with good vibes, from the vey first day enthusiast learning about cacao. She got along well with the other volunteers. and carry out all the tasks that were asked in a very good way. It was wonderful to share moments of recreation with her, and to listen her singing in different languages. We recommend her in other volunteering

My two-weeks stay in Maldon was simply enchanting! Gavin and Suzanne are the epitome of kindness and thoughtfulness, making my experience truly unforgettable. They really cared for me, to make sure I was comfortable and well-fed. The stable provided a stylish and cozy retreat. Exploring the charming historic town and the delightful markets nearby was a joy, and I even had the opportunity to attend a French film festival in Bendigo, which was a treat! The meals prepared by Suzanne were nothing short of wonderful, infused with love and care. Staying in Maldon was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I'll cherish forever.

We stayed with GG for our first Workaway experience as a couple, and it was absolutely magical. From the second we arrived, we were made to feel like we were part of GG's family. We had the pleasure of getting to know them, and especially loved spending time with her Great Grandson Shayne who is three. Her home is full of love and warmth, and we really enjoyed getting stuck into different work in the garden and surrounding farm area, including caring for her animals who are equally as loving. This awesome lady fosters a safe space where hard work is rewarded and real conversations are had. We are so thankful to have met GG and know that we will be in contact moving forward. Thank you for being such a beautiful soul, and we wish you all the best. Lots of love from us both - Kendra and Josh xx

Wow wow wow!!! I had the honor of staying with this wonderful, grounded community for 10 days and it shifted my reality. There is such an easy going essence around how life goes here, you take time to be intentional together in meals and group projects. It definitely refreshed my mental state and helped me zero in on the type of life I desire to live and exist in. Thank you all so much for making a space for me to experience your way of life. Being with you in the mountains was a magical experience and I genuinely am looking forward to time with you in the future. Until then, sending you my love and gratitude! ✨✨✨
