Jean was a real asset to our school during his two week stay. He communicated with the students easily and openly, following guidance of the class teacher. Jean exhibited a genuine interest in Casablanca and the cultural traditions of Morocco increasing conversational topics of interest to the students while sharing his own educational and travel experiences with the classes. We welcome his return at any time.

Rino was an excellent volunteer going way beyond what was expected of her. She was enthusiastic to learn to bake and took an interest in Khmer food and culture. I believe we introduced her to some original experiences during her stay! Her English level is good and she is a fast learner. We would welcome her back anytime!

Olivia was a wonderful warm and bubbly visitor. Always diligent with work and fun to be around. Happy to have her back again

It has been a great pleasure for our association to host Jonas. We have large areas with walking, cycling and outdoor experiences and there are many projects that had to be prepared after the winter. Jonas is accurate, hardworking, organized and has a positive attitude that creates a pleasant environment in the group. We have greatly appreciated his time here with us. He is welcome back at any time!

We had the pleasure of having Angie stay with us as a workawayer, and she was amazing! Angie worked hard in our garden and did a fantastic job. She also stripped some doors, making them look great again. Angie cooked us a delicious Costa Rican dish that we loved and she brought a warm and friendly vibe to our home. We highly recommend Angie to any host. She’s dedicated, talented, and a wonderful person to be around. Thanks, Angie, for all your hard work and positive energy!

Ryan was an exceptional volunteer in our school. He quickly established connections with the students in communicating professionally and openly with them. In addition to his contributions to classroom studies, he also offered assistance and encouragement to other volunteers during his three week stay with us. Ryan quickly absorbed the unique cultural aspects of Casablanca and incorporated them into his extensive travel experiences which he enthusiastically shared with students as well as other volunteers. Ryan's ability to adapt easily to new situations was an enormous asset to our school. We welcome Ryan again at any time.

I had a great time volunteering at the farm. The host was very welcoming and friendly. Even the other people at the farm were very helpful. And Ma's food was really tasty. I even got to conduct a cooking workshop. I look forward to visiting the farm again. See you soon

I had a great time at Alessandro's farm! He takes good care of his Workawayers - from picking me up and dropping me off at the bus station, to helping me plan the next stage of my trip and cooking me delicious meals using herbs from his farm (ask him to make the mint and lime pasta!). The work was interesting and not too difficult. I built bamboo fences, weeded areas of the farm and was able to plant my own baby tree which made me very happy! There is a lovely dog and two beautiful cats at the farm who will keep you in good company, too. Alessandro was very relaxed, patient and communicated well. His instructions about the work were clear and polite and he didn't mind clarifying when I needed it. He is truly a joy to be around - always happy and smiling and fun. We spent some time in Sciacca and other places where I got to meet his lovely friends and brother who were all so welcoming as well as learn more about the beautiful area. I really enjoyed learning about the farm and although I was already well aware of the impacts of climate change, it opened my eyes a lot to see how it impacts farmers on a daily basis. Our discussions and seeing how Ale worried about the water level (and how happy he was when it rained!) is something I will carry with me throughout my life.

I spent a week for my first workaway at Ava's and Blake's place and I couldn't have found a better place! They were so welcoming and I bonded quickly with their son Teo. The work could be anything that had to be done around the house or garden and I could choose freely what I wanted to do. Ava provided me with all the comfort I needed, whether it was a shared meal, a walk to the nicest viewpoints but would also give me all the freedom I wanted. I was lucky to stay in their newly finished studio right uphill in the garden, which had stunning mountain views and was just so cozy! I couldn't have imagined a better start to my journey through Australia and am very grateful to have met this kind family. Highly recommend anyone to stay at their place!

Martin is a person like few others exist. Extremely kind and attentive towards others. Always ready to help and be useful. He has excellent manual skills and is very good at finding solutions. Spending time together is truly a pleasure and he is always positive and smiling. He told us a lot about his country and even taught us a bit of a Kiwi accent! Thanks again Martin.. we will miss you!

What an amazing workaway this was! The host, Miss Hera, introduced me to and made me part of the community from day 1. She is very committed to and also an important part of her neighbourhood and works tirelessly to make the lives of people around her better and more interesting. I was able to teach at Kindergarten and (free) English classes for primary school children as well as take part in the weekly get-togethers with the mothers on Fridays (accompanied by a lot of great local food). She also started English classes for women with children who are interested in learning, partly because that is my expertise. Because of Miss Hera and these women from the neighbourhood, I was able to learn a lot about the culture and history. I was also shown sites around Bandung regularly to get a broader perspective. Besides being kindhearted, Miss Hera is extremely open and knowledgeable with a scientific background and mind so great to talk to. It was a very worthwhile experience thanks to everyone involved, including the adorable children, her wonderful husband Nenden as well as Bibi and Mba who helped us with everything.

Having Haukur (and Lara) here was really a pleasure. They were very lovely, helped me with so much projects and always put in their best efforts. Beekeeping, hunting invasive wasp nests, flooring the attic, insulating walls . . . and many more. I can highly recommend them.

Thomas and Luci, their children Teresa and Martin and dog Wally, welcomed us on a short notice, with was a big help to us. We had our own little house to stay, ideally for a couple. We could choose when to start to work. We did a lot of tree work, green work, farm work and a bit of cleaning and cooking. We created a nice connection with the family during the dinners. Thomas and Luci are amazing parents and cooks. They were open to listen to our needs and honest in the communication. We had a lot of fun together the 3 weeks we stayed with the family. Thanks again for having us at your place!

Eric was one of the very best workawayers I ever had throughout these years. Despite his young age, he had tons of working experience and talent too! Not only, we worked together privately, but also shared the same workplace, our family was more than grateful to have him throughout his stay. A valuable team player in everyway. He was out to leave an impression. He was easy going, diligent, reliable, hardworking, well communicate and open minded. Efficiency and punctuality is also one of his hallmarks. He was never late for any given shifts. He was tidy and autonomous, he cleaned the whole kitchen from top to bottom, left it looked sparkly clean when he left as before he came and even better! Though there was some language barrier from time to time, he would ask questions when he doesn’t understand, he was always keen to learn. Our kids have enjoyed and devoured all his food, pizzas, stews, gratin and etc. Pizza making sesh with the kids was one of the highlights :) He would graciously worked with us so we could feed the kids first, then put them to bed before serving a family dinner. Thank you so much again Eric for your stay, your continuous hardwork. We missed you and all the very best with the rest of your journey in Japan. And looking forward to seeing you in summer!

The most amazing Workaway experience! From the moment I entered the centre, everyone was so incredibly warm, kind and welcoming! There was a perfect balance of work time, attending meditation and Buddhist classes, delicious food, to relaxing and exploring the area! The centre is so beautiful and immaculate, and you're surrounded by such stunning nature. Everyday was so different and exciting, and it was incredible to work alongside such lovely volunteers. So grateful for this life changing experience, I couldn’t recommend this opportunity enough.

Eve is a wonderful person, she volunteered at my school for two months as a language teacher. Very fun to be with and really has a nice personality, a kind heart and caring soul. She is always ready to help in whatever you ask her to. She is very effecient and hard working. She will be an asset to any project she will do.
