    Description

We are a community-oriented eco lodge on the west coast of Norway, focused on curated adventures, amazing local food and cultural experiences. All wrapped up on a peninsula with the raw North Sea as our closest neighbour. The project is a work in progress, but the first four beach bungalows are now available for rent.

We are four friends who have bought this peninsula, we are surfers, climbers and interested in local food and cultural happenings. Our backgrounds are very diverse, ranging from marketing, architecture, chef, and nature/environment preservation. All of us have full-time jobs besides this project, but we still find time to spend much off our "free-time" in to our favoritt project - Lodge.

The location itself is in the small fishing village Sandve. We have a point break for surfing, and approximately 40 bouldering problems on the property. But hundreds in the surrounding area. It´s about 15 min walk to the beautiful Sandvesanden beach, which is the most consistent surf spot on the island.

Our project is a work in progress and we have a lot of work to do until we have a "finished" product.
We have been working on the project for five years, and have come a long way. Right now we have guests visiting from all over the world during the summer season (may-aug), and in the "off-season" we have various happenings like pop-up restaurants, concerts and more. We have bought two domes (arcticdome.no) - one which will be used for accommodation during summer season, and one larger dome that we will use for yoga, and other activities.

Right now we offer team building events for companies, where we can take them out on real experiences in nature, serve local exiting food in a location that is eclectic and interesting. Besides this we have direct booking of accommodation in three cabins through a rental platform, we run Stand Up Paddle board classes, small group surf classes, and offer fishing in the North Sea from a big fishing boat with a seasoned crew. We have had four pop-up restaurant event so far, where we have invited in guest chefs to create unique dining experiences. We focus on making our events "different" and memorable and have also had international dj´s to run custom sets during some of our events.

We care about sustainability, and local food - and focus on harvesting natural ingredients from our local area when we have food events. Over the last few years we have been harvesting sea weed, which we have dried and experimented with in multiple food settings. The results so far have been very good, and we will continue with sea weed harvesting every year.

Our goal is to create a hub for an international audience, where people want to come, connect, log off, and have real, memorable experiences that have impact on their lives ahead.

The location it´self is very unique. The property lays on a peninsula with only a small dirt road out to it. It´s very peacefull and quiet. With a proximity only meters away from the ocean - you can feel the winter storms - and waves and whitewater comes flying over the property on the best/worst days. We love it.

During off season it´s very quiet down there, so anyone who wants to come join us, need to be able to enjoy the solitude with nature. It´s a perfect location if you need to get some time of the hustling and bustling city life. We are a creative group, and the location itself inspires to creativity.

the Lodge is an exiting project with many interesting and skilled people involved, which all have in common that we are passionate about what we are doing. A stay at our peninsula will hopefully be a good learning experience both practically and mentally. We are a tight knit local community, that share great moments together out here. It´s a work in progress, so you will be able to impact the direction and future success of the project. Works will have food and accommodation besides a minimum wage.

We have a large kitchen and lounging area plus a great terrasse overlooking a big green field with sheep. Of season we typically have the accommodation on the lodge it self.
