Description
We are a 3 generation family that needs help with yard and house maintenance from time to time. SHORT NOTICE inquiries rather than long range planning works best for us as the help required and accommodation changes too rapidly to make arrangements months ahead. We live on the ocean in a lovely small town on the Sunshine Coast of B.C., just 2.5 hours from Vancouver Int'l Airport. It is accessed by ferry or seaplane, and would be considered a remote destination. Sechelt (a bigger town) is a 30 minute drive, and the entire coast is ~150 kilometres from one end (Langdale) to the other (Earls Cove). We eat good food, health and wellness is a priority. PROJECT is located at a 1.3 acre lake view property in downtown Madeira Park near amenities and highway exit. Accommodations in a clean, private, vintage travel trailer or a private bedroom within a home. Suits single or couples with a vehicle. Motorhome is ok. We can host those without a vehicle and multiple workawayers at the same time. Smoking outside only. Excellent WiFi. We currently have no pets.

Madeira Park, Pender Harbour is central to hiking trails, fishing adventures, sightseeing, culinary and cultural experiences in our scenic, protected harbour. There are 11 lakes in the area and over 5000 years of First Nation history. We are a family of longtime residents in the community. Our business has been commercial fishing for 4 generations.

Right now we are seeking an independent person or couple interested in a July 7-Sept 10 housesit.
Helping maintain the garden, harvesting fruit and watering the plants in the yard are priority chores we need help with. Must have a vehicle. We have 11 lakes, ocean beaches, water sports and sport fishing as top recreational activities. The scenery is spectacular, we occasionally see whales from the shore. The Fall will bring yard work from falling leaves that we need help with. Thank you for considering us!

Stay in a vintage 20’ travel trailer, that’s clean, cozy and comfortable with new cushions. It has two double beds if needed but choose either a couch or a table with one bed. Smoking outside only. There’s a tv that can be set up. Internet. Off street parking and a private outdoor area.

Pender Harbour offers beautiful scenery and peaceful living. We are super tidy and respectful people and expect same. Please contact us using the Workaway app only. Large yard but have some obstructions in getting it in the driveway. A rv around 26 feet is best.
