I had a wonderful time staying with Annie. I learned so much, and it was wonderful to exchange travel stories and learn from each other. She is a very generous host and I felt very comfortable and at home. I loved working in her garden and was also lucky enough to learn some harakeke weaving in return. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I would recommend working with Annie to anyone!

Wow. Well, what can I say. This LOVELY little family were so very welcoming when I joined them at their beautiful house on Waiheke. Right from the get go I felt an innate sense of trust and warmth. There is a million things I could say about my experience. Susan and Jerome are such divine and fascinating people, who shared wonderful stories, recommendations, and guidance. I really felt like I became a part of the family, and as if I had known them for years. And then there is Pia and Ludo. I am incredibly grateful for the amount of fun and laughter we shared and for all of the things they taught me too. I really already miss them. Pia is so very intelligent and Ludo is an absolute comedian. The work itself was really enjoyable, and Susan and Jerome were patient and supportive. And Waiheke has my heart now forever! Such a splendid part of NZ with so much to offer. Overall, this Workaway was so brilliant it’s hard to properly express. I hope to be back and see these wonderful folks again!

Zachary is an incredible boy, polite, full of energy and initiative, he learned a lot about horses from the care, cleaning and riding, he participated in the collection of honey in our bee hive without any problem, I must say that he is brave and optimistic which are wonderful points of his personality always attentive, wherever Zach goes petsonas will love him a lot because he is a charming boy. We miss you so much, enjoy your trip my friend.

I stayed at Jennys place for about three weeks in Raub and it was so nice. I helped with the dogs, cleaning/tidying up the place and small things around the house. Jenny was so helpful and kind to me during my stay. Inviting me to dinner, meet her friends and more. I really appriated getting to see those things as well!! I can warmly recommend going to Jenny if you want to experience the life in the more countryside and seeing what that kind of life could offer. Thanks again!

Ritchard was very kind to me. He made me feel accepted, understood and mostly appreciated. I loved helping out on projects and being able to express myself. Knowing that giving is essential and brings a long way. I felt at home. Thank you Ritch!

I spent two weeks on Ismail's homestay and enjoyed a great hospitality. I was there during Ramadan so it was a quiet time. There weren't many guests and not a lot of work which gave me plenty of time to work on my master thesis. My main tasks were sweeping the yard, watering plants and cleaning the rooms between guests. Ismail was very generous, always made sure I had enough ingredients for cooking and often brought me local foods from the market as well. It would have been nice to be a little more involved and have more exchange, but I understand that Ramadan is a quiet time for withdrawal and introspection and it also gave me more capacities for my own work. We did have some interesting conversations and I felt very at home there in the little bamboo hut. There are some river cruises and other attractions nearby and you can rent a bike from the neighbours to get around. Maxim or Grab are helpful for ordering cabs but make sure you arrange your trip back in advance if you're driving to more remote areas like the beach since they're not operating from there. I would definitely recommend coming here. Ismail and his family and all the people in the village are very friendly and you'll really feel immersed in the culture.

When I called Ana Lucia for the first time to confirm my stay at her house, she told me that more than workers, she wanted to have friends at home. This is how I have felt these weeks on her property, like another friend! Ana Lucia is very attentive and pleasant. She always looked for the best way for me to have fun in my free time. I should be a tourist guide! I connected very well with Sebástian when working with him. He explains very well and is very patient. Thanks to him, and also to Ana Lucia in relation to permaculture, I have been able to create a foundation to continue learning in traditional style construction. As for Maia, the little daughter, she is super fun! Since I was alone as a volunteer, her joy and desire to play helped me a lot to make my stay easier. I will miss her a lot! Without a doubt I recommend living an experience here, in Vila nova de Foz Coa together with Ana Lucia i Sebastian. The Douro River, the landscape, the cave paintings, the wine... have remained engraved in my memory.

My stay with this family in New Zealand was my sixth place and also the best one. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and open arms by the parents and their two young, energetic kids. The children were an absolute delight to spend time with. Emily and Sam made sure I felt comfortable and welcomed in their home. They made sure I had everything I needed, from a cozy room to sleep in to delicious meals to enjoy each day. They were incredibly considerate and always checked in to see if there was anything else I needed or wanted. One of the things that stood out the most during my stay was how appreciated I felt. The family constantly expressed their gratitude for my help around the house and with the kids, making me feel valued and respected. It was truly a pleasure to be a part of their family for the duration of my stay. The whole experience was extremely hassle-free and easy, not to mention they kindly provided me with a car to get around, which was great to get to know the area or to go to the grocery store. Overall, my time with this family was just great. I would highly recommend this workaway opportunity to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming family to stay with in New Zealand.

We did a short workaway stay at this beautiful hostel in Florida during our road trip. Jenny was super accommodating because clearly she didn't really need us, but she found us some nice little tasks to do during our stay. We loved the experience, and it allowed us to visit the city of St. Augustine and enjoy lots of free activities. Thanks again, Jenny. We'll cherish fond memories of your beautiful hostel. xxx Elise

Our stay at the refuge was overall amazing! the doggos are all lovely - we fell in love with quite a few, the work is hard at times but very rewarding. We stayed for almost two weeks but wished we'd stayed longer, the location is beautiful and this place is doing such good work to help dogs that need it! The living situation is simple and remote but once adjusted quite refreshing, we are definitely coming back!! Thankyou for this experience it was wonderful :)

See u soon ma poule #prodescloturesélectriques xxx Elise English: Oh my god, where do I start? I stumbled upon this workaway somewhat by chance while looking for a cool experience to have this winter (I already live in Quebec but only work there in the summer). I also wanted to explore a new region that I wasn't familiar with, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. It just goes to show, sometimes you don't need to travel far to have beautiful experiences and discoveries. I stayed there for 3 months with my dog (which is rare in Quebec to find a place that accepts our furry friends!), and imagine this: I ended the stay with a month-long road trip in a van with the host and her dogs across the United States (well, I can't guarantee this will happen to you, but with Tiger and her 1000 projects and ideas, you never know, you might find yourself getting swept up too!). The project is a true gem, and this definitely won't be my last stay here, whether as a guest or a workawayer, or simply because Tiger has become a true friend. This place is incredible, especially for nature lovers. There are stunning national parks nearby. I had the chance to try out the beautiful cabins and campsites, to receive lots of love from the dogs, chickens, and goats Leo and Brad (they're completely crazy but also crazily endearing!). The tasks are fun; I was there in winter, which can be a bit different from summer. Essentially, my tasks involved feeding the animals, helping with cleaning the cabins, and assisting with guest reception. Simple tasks that don't take up the whole day and allow you to enjoy the beautiful region of Charlevoix. In short, I could talk about it for hours, but I strongly encourage you to try it out for yourself; you'll be equally charmed, both by Tiger's personality and her enterprise.

As my first workaway experience, I couldn't have thought of a better place and better hosts to start with. Luisa, Ricardo and the children are amazing, making you feel very welcome. The place is surrounded by nature, incredible for having great walks, which I did with the family dog Maya who is very sweet and loves to walk. The work was cool, even for me who has no experience, which was a great opportunity to learn how to use new tools and develop new skills. And I could explore the region of Algarve. Thank you Ricardo and Luisa for the lovely welcome.

I had a great time spending two weeks with Deanna, Trent, Sadie, and the whole family. Some highlights of my stay included 1) singing with Trent's band (though I was terrible), 2) getting in a TikTok with Sadie, 3) Going to New Orleans with Deanna/Jenna 4) taking part in the Trent's family reunion and so much more. Deanna was so kind and welcoming and even though the whole family didn't understand my vegetarian eating habits, they accepted me all the same. I'm so grateful for my time in St Ama and I hope to see the family soon!
