Description
Please read everything before to contact me.
Hi there! My name is Jessica, I am 29 years old and I manage my Horse Rescue Center and Animal Sanctuary in Sardinia (Italy), a beautiful island in the middle of the Mediterranean.
1) MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY
We mostly host horses, but also other pets and farm animals who were rescued and recovered from difficult situations, giving them a new life, away from exploitation.
The main mission has been to create a peaceful and harmonious place for people and animals through an equal, empathic and conscious partnership.
-Through the educational activities involving the animals we promote an approach where the relationship we create with them is experienced as a support for personal growth, aimed at the improvement of psycho-physical well-being of both animal and human.
This approach translates into a holistic relationship with the animal in which the role of the human is to accompany the animal to discover itself, aiming at creating autonomous individuals with high self-esteem, competent in relationships and in the various challenges of life. The human being will not give orders and commands but will be a companion always ready to inspire.
2) ACTIVITIES
We offer various services and activities: knowledge, relationship and communication activities with horses and other animals, lessons in freedom with horses, pension and education of horses and dogs, partnerships with community of people with fewer possibilities, homeschooling organisations, summer camps for children, pet therapy.
Sometimes we also host and organize music events and workshops, juggling, self-production markets, holistic events, yoga, reiki, meditation, book presentation and so on.
3) DAILY ROUTINE
Summer: when is hot, in the morning we start earlier like 7.00 and finish around 10.00, in the evening start at 18,30 and finish around 20.30. In the middle you can have free time for travel, stay or work.
Autumn-Spring: usually we start around 8.00 and finish 11.00 and in the evening start around 16.00 and finish around 18.00.
Winter : is more difficoult here to have precise hours, if is raining a lot, we wait and in the moment that finish we start to work maybe with some stop .
-Dipends on the period the life here can be different, sometimes is so full of activities,
but most of the time is a relaxing place where you can know and stay with animals.
4) VOLONTEER
This project can live thanks to you and other volonteer, im alone with all the animals, the organization and activities, and is so difficolut for me to care of everything;
thanks to volonteer I can have the possibility to organize some activity and menage the social media for find a way to provide at the animals.
For this is foundamental that the period that you said will be precise.
I'm available for any proposals of other enriching activities.

Help
Here in South Sardinia we welcome people of all backgrounds, as our daily routine requires several skills:
We ask our travellers to help us in the daily farm tasks which includes keeping all the areas clean (paddocks, entrance, house, garden) and functioning. Sometimes there are minor reparation to be done (fences, slowfeed nets etc...).
We need help from our workawayer for the animal care. This means mainly feeding horses, ponies, goats, dogs, cats. Our animals are loved and we want the best for them, to keep them healthy and happy. We ask our workawayers to help us fulfill our mission.
During summer season we host summer camps with kids. In those months we welcome workawayers who could help us with the children and preparing activities for them.
We are not a business activity, we are a no profit association that can survive just thanks to the donation of paople that love animals, and some visit here and activity with horses with a free donation.Languages

As for the activities: I work early in the morning and in the evening because of the heat (so I had all the afternoons and the late mornings free). When I went there was no summer camp (but Jessica… read more
