Description
We are a German-Italian family with two children (7 and 3, homeschoolers). We live in a farmhouse in the countryside near Rome where we plant trees and tend a small vegetable garden. We work from home, in the field of human rights and cultural activities. We speak Italian, German, English, French and Spanish.

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We are a family that has lived in several countries around the world. We enjoy exchanging experiences with people from different cultures. We can offer a lot of knowledge about peasant movements around the world and also some knowledge about eco-building (applied by renovating houses). We live in an area that is still very rural (by western standards) but Rome is easily accessible within an hour by public transport. We are part of collective food self-production projects.
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
We are looking for people to help us manage the land and the house and above all to be with our children and speak German with them. It is important that the relationship with children is based on respect and kindness. Skills in proposing artistic and creative activities to children are welcome.

We live in a two-storey farmhouse. On the first floor is our house. On the ground floor there is a studio apartment with a bathroom and kitchenette, which will be at the guest's disposal.
What else ...
Opposite the house is a bus stop to the nearest station (10 km away), from where direct trains to Rome leave every half hour.
There are plenty of walks in the surrounding area in the mountains or countryside and also cycling if you are well trained. The area is full of charming medieval villages.
We have already hosted people, we like to be together during meals, but not necessarily every day (for this reason we propose independent accommodation): we seek sharing but also autonomy.A little more information
