Description
This is the first non-governmental organization in Slovenia that for over ten years has been involved in the planning, systematic and professional development of the field of Equine assisted activities and therapies according to the principles of a holistic treatment of persons with special needs. Its basic activities are:
• developing various programs of Equine assisted activities and therapies for different target groups of users; children, adolescents and adults,
• co-financing the costs of Equine assisted activities and therapies for people from a socially weaker environment,
• designing, setting up and organizing a training system for professional staff in the field of Equine assisted activities and therapies,
• education and training of therapeutic horses,
• promotion of this area, linking and disseminating good practice in Slovenia and abroad.
We constantly strive to achieve new goals and excellence in the performance of our mission, so during more then 10 years of active involment, we have been working to develop the field of Equine assisted activities and therapies (EAA / EAT) in the following ways:
Developing and implementing EAA / EAT programs for different target groups ;
Development of a training system for professional staff;
Striving to systemic regulation of EAA / EAT;
Spreading a culture of horsemanship;
Partnership with foreign organizations;
Informing the public and spreading good practice;
Project work;
Voluntary and humanitarian work;

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Slovenia as such is rich in cultural and natural Heritage. Any travelers who would be interested in helping out would be able to explore the vicinity of our destination with the oldest town of Slovenia – Ptuj, the beautiful Drava plain many other interesting sites.
Since we work with persons with special needs, they would be able to get to know the richness of these persons, exchange ideas and fill themselves with personal riches that are only possible in relation with children, adolescent and adults with special needs combined with horses.Help
We need help in preparing some of our newcomer horses for their Equine assisted work. Work includes:
Riding and lounging of young horses, ground work, help with preparing the carriage and training of the carriage horses, corrective riding of school horses, riding in nature.
We expect the travelers to have above basic equine knowledge.
Our team consists of 5 local employees, who mostly organize and execute Equine assisted interventions and a lot of volunteers, who assist at different tasks.Languages spoken

The Workawayers will be accommodated in the newly build Horse Glamping Park, in a building operating as a hostel with toilets and showers to share. The building is heated and is comfortable. WiFi is available 24/7. The building is situated within our park in beautiful nature.
Food will be provided by the local restaurant where we also provide the food for the children attending our programs and for our staff. Its local food and tastes delicious. Both outdoor and indoor kitchen with all necessary appliances are also available.
At the time spent at our park, only volunteers will be living in this building.A little more information
