Gilles is the best! It was our absolute pleasure to host him! He is such a kind, easy going and independent person. Not to mention an extraordinarily talented and hard worker. During his time with us he constructed an incredible vanity for our project, and it is truly a masterpiece. He is a very valuable person to have working with you, and we could not recommend him enough to future hosts! Gilles was a fabulous house guest, and we really enjoyed spending time with him in the evenings and during days off. Thank you so much for all the time you gave to us and our project, we appreciate all you did!

We spent two weeks at Cristian's farm in the first half of May 2024, during the autumn/winter in the area. It was cold with snow and temperatures as low as -6 celsius. We would describe our experience as excellent. We were taught by Cristian how to be independent with the farm running tasks from the start, which for us was a good thing as it made us learn more things, faster. Working with animals was our priority before coming and we were certainly able to do this - herding cows, sheep, feeding them, managing chickens, dogs, donkeys and horses was all part of the experience. Our highlights include: helping Cristian with the vet checking for pregnancy of cows on day 1, the baby horse being born on day 2, searching for and escorting the bull and separating the male and female cows, building the foundations of a new path in the corral which will stop baby lambs from getting stuck in the mud, freeing the rams from their field for the breeding season, and driving the Chevy truck loaded with gravel or wood around the farm. Cristian also took us to visit the animal fayre in Coyhaique where livestock is bought and sold by auction - this was fascinating and gave an insight into the business aspect of how farms are run and how livestock moves. Cristian was always available over whatsapp to support us and answer any questions, he would also come to the farm every 2/3 days and spend the night there. During this time he would show us/help us with anything and we would also spend a nice time together chatting, drinking mate, and learning about his lifestyle in Patagonia. He is very easy to talk to and get along with. The beauty of the surroundings of the farm cannot be underestimated, lakes, snow capped mountains, lenga and pine forests. We spent a day off visiting Coyhaique and other days walking to the viewpoint above and waterfall near the farm. Cristian is also very generous with the provisions that he supplies for volunteers, we ate very well during our time at the farm and felt we had everything we needed. On our last night we were invited to stay at Cristian's home in Coyhaique where we felt welcomed as part of the family. If you are someone who likes satisfying hard work in the outdoors, being independent, and working with animals, then this place is perfect.

Leni has been great in her short time at our farm. She was mainly involved in the creation of the new vegetable garden, giving her maximum energy in this difficult and tiring job. She created perfectly parallel raised rows where she then placed the holed pipes for irrigation on the top. She then planted hundreds of seedlings of all types in exact correspondence with the holes ready to be irrigated. The result was truly exceptional. Now the plants have already grown and we are already starting to harvest the first tender lettuce leaves. We recognize Leni's great merits for having immediately learned these new horticultural techniques, for having worked with great energy and enthusiasm in the difficult and tiring work and for having faced and solved many problems. Lucie and Pius, were very helpful. Even though they came with three kids they helped us greatly. They were very proactive and managed on their own the place while we were in holidays for almost one month. They took care perfectly of our animals, our vegetable garden and the rest of the facilities as if it was their own home. We recommend Lucie and Pius to any host needing support.

Monique is a very independent and smart woman. I loved having g her around. She cooked for me more than once and that was highly appreciated. She was at my place to learn Dutch and is a quick learner. I would reccoment having her over. I got help with digital stuff, some smart ideas where offered and the conversations with her and a shared cider where really enyjoyable. Thanx and welcome back any time Monique!

Spending almost 3 months at Swan's Island was a beautiful experience. Ann and River are excellent people with good feelings, always willing to teach us how to do the different activities in their beautiful house. Ann is an incredible cook (she has a nun's hand, as they say in chile hahahaha), enjoying her delicious dishes after a day of work was incredible. I thank them for their patience with my English, they helped me a lot in my learning. If you like quiet places, where you can walk and breathe peace, Isla Swan's is the right place. Taking care of 4 sheep and 12 hens and chickens was a very entertaining experience. I highly recommend spending some time with this beautiful family.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to host Julia and Nicolas, but as they were in the area they came to visit me anyway to see how they could help me. Julia then came to help in the garden for about 5 days and was a dynamic, positive force. She also has some experience in permaculture and gardening, which was great. I very much enjoyed the days she was here and really appreciated her willingness to get things done and her friendly attitude.

Pawel is very kind, helpful and easy going person. We spent lovely time together and recived loads of help, interesting stories and openness. Pawel is really nice to have around. I highly recommend him as help and company 👌✨️😊

It was lovely to share space with Jasmine for a few weeks, who was a great help around the garden and in the kitchen. We had good times together venturing around the island, playing games and evening and chatting, very easy to get along with. Our animals were also very happy to have her as company!... it's definitely true that she is a great caretaker.

Alex stayed with me for 2 weeks. She immediately became part of the family and was willing to help wherever help was needed. She developed a close and loving bond with my dog and is clearly very good with animals. We had interesting and deep conversations and she always respected my space.

I spent 2 weeks here and it was just an amazing experience. I learned so much about the permaculture way of life, about animal carying and planting. Karen and Glen are very hospitable and offered so much knowledge what they know about so many different things. All in all I can really recommend staying there especially when you're interested in permaculture or foresty stuff (also some really nice cycling in Brittany by the way).

Les membres de la famille (Karine, Lisa et Thais) sont très gentils et très joyeux. Mon séjour d'une semaine en famille pour une expérience mémorable pour moi !! J'ai adoré la façon dont ils me traitent et les installations qu'ils m'ont fournies. J'adore les délicieux plats français tout au long de mon séjour. Le chat Luna est tellement calme et adorable. J'apprécie mes travaux d'entretien du jardin pendant le séjour !! A bientôt, encore une fois !!

Moya accepted our last minute offer to join us to give us a hand at our place mainly helping spending time with Alois. And she adapted super quickly to find her place in the house, having a super easygoing attitude and friendly vibes with all of us, and specially with Alois that adopted her straight ahead!! We really appreciated her flexibility and proactivity to get along in our daily life, always up for offering her help! Moya is a very calm and soft person, autonomous and also very interested to exchange her experiences and stories. For us it's been a plus to realise that Moya can speak a very good Spanish, it made it much easier with Alois! Also Gara was very fortunate and happy to show Moya the surroundings and share walks with her! It was as short but super nice to welcome you here, we hope you will be back one day 😀 Thanks for everything, Definitely Moya is a great person to have around!!

We had such a great time with Nishal, his family and all the workawayers. You’ll get a comfortable bed, 2 meals a day and the opportunity to learn about Nepals culture and way of living. Also Nischal is running a Trekking company with motorbike tour which is a great way to see Nepal from a different angle. In our two week staying we worked one for one hour so don’t expect to work much is more focused on having a great time together and experience Kathmandu and Nepal. Thank you hope to see you again soon .

I had an amazing and fulfilling time with Gwendal and Negar, they are so welcoming and taught me so many important skills, I left not just with new friends and skills but also a better outlook and mindset. I'm going to miss them (and the dogs!) so much! Would recommend to everyone! I had varied tasks including helping with construction, gardening, cleaning and photography both of nature and helping with photography for promotional material. The accommodation and living space is very comfortable and open meaning it never feels too humid and you get to enjoy nature whilst you cook/chill. Five stars!

Claudine's place is a token of vision and purpose where every corner of the land has been thought out carefully with function in mind. It is a credit to her to follow through with her intentions - hard working powerhouse of a human being. After an initiation process of weeding where one is left to their own thoughts which in time shifts from penance to absolution, you unlock the vault to the cobbing world. Here, Claudine will show you how to cobb some bricks, build and also teach you how to make and apply plaster. This experience opens up a new realisation of how to build a sustainable home for low cost which in turn has me yearning for more. This will happen to you too! Claudine is a wealth of knowledge; a cauldron of stories and interesting perspectives, always willing to help you out with whatever you may need and cooks like a master chef. She understands the true value of food in-line with the energy dispelled through work - you can rest assured you are in for some tasty treats. Bananas all-round and the free-range chicken eggs are delicious. You will be accompanied by three cats who range from playful to being super hunters (and gatherers!!) Location: The paradise is located in Lagoa, on a bus line to Furnas and Ponte Delgada. It couldn't be better. There are cafe and restaurants everywhere and the sea is always in view. There are some nice walks by the ocean, minutes away from the paradise alongside some natural pools. I recommend to anyone who wishes to experience simple off-grid living in nature where the view of the sea is ever-present and calming. Also to anyone who has a genuine interest in natural building / eco sustainable living. ::)

Staying here was a wonderful experience and definitely a highlight of my whole trip to South America. I was so lucky to spend a month in this beautiful place enjoying peace and stunning landscapes (and it’s just 30 min by bus from La Paz, so I never got bored!). The team was also amazing, they welcomed me with open hearts and I really felt like at home. With them, doing the daily tasks was so much fun and I was always happy to be around. Also, I could always count on delicious, vegetarian meal even though I was the only one not eating meat there. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, I believe that everyone who gets a chance to volunteer with them will have a beautiful time! Thank you so much:)

At this place I wanted to stay fore 4 weeks but in the end I stayed six. It felt hard for me to leave cause I liked it so much. Miri is a very nice person who is very nice to the guests and also to his workawayers. The work here was very nice cause we had some shifts at the reception and also breakfast. As a consequence of that we had a close connection with the guests. In the evenings we were usually hanging out together which was a lot of fun too. Julian stayed here 1 week with us, as agreed. He is a very punctual person, doing the job in the best way. He is a very responsible and reliable person. In some cases he even helped me outside working hours. Highly recommended for all future hosts

I arrived on this place as a guest just to stay one night but it ended up as a two weeks workaway cause I loved this place and the owners so much. Dona helped me getting a white shirt for a business picture I had to take. Thanks again for that. You are fantastic. I also got some free rafting. That was amazing. Furthermore the guests we had were amazing. I really enjoyed the good time there and will come back on one day for sure. Thanks for everything. Lukas
