I had the pleasure of hosting Adriana Maia at my hostel, in Melaka, as well as at my guesthouse for 16 days. Adriana hails from Santa Cruz, Portugal, and her time here was marked by incredible dedication and a positive attitude. From the very beginning, Adriana impressed us with her willingness to help with a variety of tasks. She handled the cleaning work meticulously, ensuring that both the hostel and the guesthouse were always spotless. Her attention to detail in preparing the beds and common areas made a significant difference, contributing to a welcoming environment for all our guests. Adriana also took on the responsibility of touring the city with our guests. Her enthusiasm and friendly nature made her an excellent guide, and she helped our guests experience the best of Melaka. Whether it was exploring historical sites or discovering hidden gems, Adriana made sure everyone had a memorable time. In addition to these duties, Adriana assisted with the check-in process, showing professionalism and a warm demeanor that our guests truly appreciated. Her ability to manage these tasks efficiently and with a smile made a positive impact on our daily operations. Adriana didn’t hesitate to get her hands dirty either. She helped clean the pool at the guesthouse and even took part in some gardening work. Her versatility and hard work in these areas were invaluable. Beyond her work, Adriana was a joy to have around. We shared some wonderful moments together, going out for karaoke and trying local foods. It was clear that she embraced every experience with enthusiasm and genuine interest, which made her stay even more enjoyable for everyone involved. I am extremely happy with Adriana's contribution during her time here. Her dedication, friendliness, and hard work made a lasting impression, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and delightful helper. Isabel and Boaz are a match made in heaven. One of the loveliest young couples you could find. They are a well tuned team in all things work & lifestyle. When they arrived I presented them with a task I had been dreading doing for many months clearing old wood from the farm stacked high in an outbuilding, loading it into a trailer and stacking it in a very precise way near my back door. Then sweeping and cleaning out the previous wood shed making it into a bike shed for 6 bicycles for my workaway visitors. They got stuck into this project and their pride in what they achieved was only exceeded by my own. Thanks Isabel and Boaz every time I pass the bike shed I smile with memories of your hard work and attention to detail stacking that huge pile of firewood so beautifully. I recently had the pleasure of staying with Chris and Vicki through WorkAway, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at home. The accommodation provided was beyond my expectations – I had an entire house to myself, which was spacious and offered plenty of privacy. Chris and Vicki were incredibly understanding and flexible with my work schedule. They allowed me to work whenever I had time, which made it easy to balance my tasks with personal activities. The work itself was very chill and manageable, and they provided everything I needed, including access to bikes and other essentials. Their kindness and understanding made my stay truly enjoyable, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have met such lovely people. If you’re looking for a WorkAway experience that offers comfort, flexibility, and wonderful hosts, I highly recommend staying with Chris and Vicki.

Nicola y Maddie es una joven pareja que estuvo en la granja con nosotros durante dos semanas trabajando como voluntarios. A pesar de su muy poca experiencia con animales de granja, aquí su trabajo con ellos fue excelente, se ocuparon de muy buena forma de alimentar a nuestras aves de corral, gatos, perros, a nuestra querida burrita Melaza, ovejas y a los caballos (su rutina cotidiana de cada día)... caso aparte fue el trabajo con las vacas (toros, vaquillas, terneros, etc), en su primer día debieron arrear a todos los vacunos dento del corral y una vez dentro... separarlos y moverlos de acuerdo a como el veterinario lo indique, pues es uno de los importantes días del año de Trabajo Veterinario con las vacas, para saber de su estado preñez de cada una de ellas, día algo lluvioso, pero eso no fue inconveniente para Maddie y Nicola, hicieron un gran Trabajo que sin duda quedará en nuestra memoria como una exitosa jornada. Luego de su trabajo cotidiano, cada día tenían la tarea de usar la motosierra para ir al bosque a cortar leña para su casa y para el invierno que se avecina, cuando se reunía una cantidad importante, debían cargarla y transportarla a las casas y ordenarla, para la calefacción en invierno. Sin duda Maddie y Nicola fueron un gran aporte y ayuda para nuestro proyecto de granja en vísperas de invierno, tuvimos una muy buena comunicación, siempre con respeto y afecto mutuo. Al momento de su despedida, Maddie y Nicola nos dejaron un bello letrero de madera donde dibujaron sus mejores momentos durante su estadía en Valle Hermoso. Les agradecemos infinitamente su permanente alegría, ganas de colaborar, muy buen humor y su siempre buena disponibilidad para ayudar en todo lo que fuese necesario. Disfruté mucho las jornadas que pudimos estar reunidos junto al fuego conversando de nuestras vidas y aprendiendo mucho el uno del otro. Al próximo anfitrión que decida recibir a esta bella pareja como voluntarios, sin duda que será muy beneficiado del entusiasmo y empatía de estos maravillosos jóvenes. Gracias por tanto Maddie Gracias por todo Nicola, los extrañaré muchísimo... no perdamos el contacto, cuidense y no olviden que siempre Dios los estará acompañando.

These two are so endearing and friendly. I loved all the laughs we had. They took such good care of playing with Colton and made us both so happy to have them. They worked hard and followed instructions so well. They helped with so much and it meant a lot to me. We all had a wonderful experience together, picnic, solar eclipse, maple syrup... All the Canadian things!

Natalia's wonderful old house is located in the beautiful Belgian port town of Ostende. We had an exciting week in that house. The work involved renovations to the house, including repairing walls and ceilings and laying the foundations for the garden. Natalia is a very flexible and creative person who kept coming up with ideas while we were working together. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable time. Also, Ostende is a very nice city and we had a very happy stay there. seafood, beer, and soup are especially amazing! We would like to thank Natalia for giving us this joyful experience despite the short notice workaway request!

Stella was most helpful caring for the cats, keeping up with the chores and whatever needed to be done. She was attentive to the cats' needs, spotted potential health problems and helped with administering medication. Her daily routine was flawless and her positive attitude made her fun to be around. Would have her back anytime.

Fred is so wonderful to have, an amazing, kind soul. Worked well on the tasks asked and was self motivated as I had to also go to work during the day. I appreciate all the hard work that was done and time that was taken in each task to ensure a job well done. Colton and I will miss Fred very very much. Merci beaucoup pour tout votre travail acharné!

Rich nature, varied climate, delicious and healthy food, the world's best beer, and the kind people of the Belgian Ardennes region. We thoroughly enjoyed them during our week at Thibaut and Julie's home. Their patience and kindness more than made up for our lack of experience, physical strength, and language skills. And the children! Youri, Eline, and Tobias. We have never met brothers and sisters who work together so wisely and illuminate the world around them. It was truly amazing considering how young they were! Thanks to the wonderful family, our first workaway, which was very anxious, turned out to be a very happy experience. Working on farms and houses, eating mussels, drinking beer, watching movies and animations, and taking a nordic bath, etc. The week we spent with them is something we will treasure forever!

Those two weeks at Eaglehawk were truly incredible! Thank you Len and Toni. You are great people, I felt so good. Very happy with the work and the idyllic setting. See you soon I hope and thank you for all your valuable advice :)

We really enjoyed the girls, both Mayuri and her friend, Richi. They helped with the computer marketing working to get it set up for when we are ready to launch. They also helped with the cooking and cleaning in the kitchen, which was a big help for Priyanka, our cook. They worked very well on their own without supervision. Both of these lovely girls are welcome anytime to come back to visit or help us on our project. I hope they do like a couple of our other Indian friends do and come back yearly when India gets a bit warm to spend a couple months with us.

I’ve spendet an incredible and unforgettable time at Torills place. She is an amazing person, I needed some time to find the right words to describe her because Torill is one of the nicest but also one of the most fascinating persons I have ever met. I felt welcomed from the first moment and it was hard for me to leave her and also Olga, the cutest dog, with her whole own charcter. Torill has seen a lot of the world, you just have to ask her and she will tell you the funniest and craziest storys. You could feel the passion and the spirit she has in her life, it affected me immediatly and I took her to my heart from the very beginning. During my stay at her place we pursued bunch of masterplans (it’s the way we used to call them), which included a lot of different stuff and activities. We spendet a lot of time just talking and I really enjoyed her company, she gave me so much inspiration and joy. I will always remember my stay, Torill and of course Olga with a big smile on my face and a lot of nice memories.

The Workaway experience was incredible and was perfect for us. You can explore the whole island and we have to say we loved the Big Island. The accommodation is in the jungle on the greener side of the island. This means that it can rain from time to time (at least at our time of year), but this didn't bother us at all while we were working or exploring, on the contrary, it was a super pleasant climate. Mark also rents out a car, which makes it super easy to explore the island. From snorkeling, hiking, surfing and swimming, there is something for everyone. The work is only three hours a day and is varied. You can let off steam with lots of equipment (from flamethrowers to weed whackers), painting, cleaning and cleaning up lots of poop from the puppies. Mark is a great guy, very relaxed, always something funny to sax. But he is a miserable poker player. So if you want to earn some extra money, be sure to challenge him to a game. Thanks for everything Mark and thank you for letting us get to know Hawaii through you. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend it to others. Say hello to the puppies from us!

We all loved having Naoko and Baba stay. I was ready to be inspired and I was, by these 2 lovely people. Nao is a dynamo, brilliant at organising, full of energy and very health aware. Also a reiki practioner! Baba is the youngest 81 year old you will ever meet, anxious to contribute by both cleaning, cooking and gardening, but mainly by giving me hope for my future as I age😍 Her favourite phrase was "I am healthy, I am strong 💪 " Such a privilege to have these two fabulous people stay.

Thank you for the wonderful time I had at your place!! The Königsmühle is a lovely, historical property packed with mindful, positive and skilful people willingly to share their knowledge. In the short time I had the chance to learn about gardening, clay construction work, growing vegetables, and last but definitely not least about getting in touch with myself. Living in the mill means contributing your strengths. There is something for everyone with the wide range of tasks. At the same time, the place offers plenty of opportunities to start your own projects and freely express your own creativity. It was a great gift to be part of your lives. Felicita has so many qualities that left me breathless at times as I came from such a different generation. Felicita had the CAN DO, WILL DO attitude and was Wise beyond her years. I discovered a leak in a pipe on my house one night. I came in and told her I was going to have to ring a plumber the next day. She immediately responded No GG I will fix it tomorrow! and she did. She is not big in statue but huge in ability. Full of good sense and will gladly advise if you ask her opinion but she is a quiet soul and never intrudes unless you invite her but loves music and dancing with a coffee in the morning. Felicita has given me great advice as a new host and to me tools in my tool box and maybe more self confidence to try things outside my normal wheelhouse. She is a sponge for learning new skills nothing is daunting to her. I have missed her greatly and know I'll see her again. Go well my special friend. Love GG

We spent 2 weeks with Sally and Steve. We helped out in housekeeping from around 930am-1230pm ish every day. Work was clear and not too strenuous. We had 3meals a day with good ingredients available to us for breakfast and lunch and a meal from the cafe every evening which was very tasty. The area is beautiful with walks 3km to beach or a swimming hole and Daintree discovery centre. Easier if you have a car but we found if easy to hitch hike. Accommodation in jungle huts. Comfortable beds. Important to leave all food in the kitchen as you are living close to wildlife. We were lucky to see Cassowary and some beautiful snakes and spiders. Thanks Sally and Steve for having us!

Grace is one super special young woman. I was so pleased she saw my last minute listing and chose to come to GG's farm. My heart glows so often when I think Grace came for a short break but left such a huge impression. She is very bright, energetic, independent and with her engineering background is highly skilled with tools even using a chainsaw to rip up and replace a rotten wooden floor section in my feed shed that I warned her to beware of! She instantly responded "I can fix that" before I knew it She had ripped up the carpet exposing the rotten wood. She went to the shed of many tools, chose what she needed then found suitable wood and continued working until the job was finished even the carpet back down that day! Grace is full of fun & highly motivated. She was instantly loved by everyone and my animals. My big team of workawayers & I enjoyed a bonfire with wine compliments of Grace and were serenaded with her miniature trumpet. I'll never enjoy a bonfire again as much. If you miss out on hosting Grace you've missed out on a treasure. I refer to Grace as my beautiful machine. Bed here for you anytime Grace. Love GG

This is such a beautiful spot. We worked three hours in the morning, and finished every day with a beautiful swim in the river before lunch. Everyone was super knowledgable and we learned a lot about permaculture and organic farming. I stayed one week with two friends and we had a really great time. Lots of time to chill and chat with the other volunteers. The food was great too. Please message me for any more info :)

The time I spent here was really special, many thanks to all the members. The month I spent with you felt like being at home. It was super amazing place to chill. I will always be grateful for the opportunity. Also I really miss Wilson and chantilly. They are such a cute and friendly. wish you to keep reaping so many successes. Thank you all!!
