    🌿Workaway (ideally 25+ with own car) 🌿

We’re currently looking for reliable, independent Workawayers to join us in our relaxed beachside home in Terrigal. This placement is especially well suited to people with practical carpentry / DIY skills and/or creative skills (such as sewing, painting, crafting, or photography/videography), who are comfortable walking our 5-year-old Groodle, Pipo, as well as helping with everyday tasks such as cooking, light garden maintenance, and housekeeping.

The help we need is around 4-5 hours per day (Monday to Friday) in exchange for accommodation and a weekly allowance for you to cook. We will share some lunches together but for the most part you will have your own private space with separate entrance. You will have a bedroom, kitchenette, bathroom and direct access to the garden.

Because we live on a steep hill and public transport is limited, we generally prefer guests who have their own transport for getting around and running errands — however, we’re still open to discussing options if you don’t have a car 😊

    ***************************************
We’re Anja (German/Spanish), Alberto (Italian), and our 5-year-old Groodle, Pipo. Our home has a warm, friendly and creative atmosphere. We’ve enjoyed hosting many wonderful Workawayers and love meeting people from all over the world.

Terrigal is a beautiful coastal town on the NSW Central Coast, just a 2min drive or a 15–20 minute walk from the beach and village.

If you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay, enjoy dogs, and are happy to lend a hand with daily tasks, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re Anja & Alberto — a friendly, easy-going couple who genuinely enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and creating a warm, welcoming home environment 😊

I (Anja) have a German/Spanish background and have been living in Australia for around 15 years (with a couple of years in Lugano, Switzerland in between). I speak German, English, Spanish and Italian — and I’m always happy to practice with you if you’d like!

I love dancing salsa and bachata and take classes several times a week — you’re very welcome to join me at dance events if that’s something you’d enjoy. I also love Pilates and have a reformer at home, which you’re more than welcome to use.

I’m Alberto, originally from Italy, and I’ve been living in Australia for about 17 years. I work in cybersecurity and spend a few days a week in Sydney. I enjoy staying active, especially playing padel, and would be happy to take you along for a game.

We’re both quite relaxed and flexible, and we like to keep things easy and natural at home — sharing meals, conversations, or simply giving each other space when needed.

  • Help

    Help

    The help we need includes:
    • Walking our dog, Pipo, for about an hour a day (you will need to be comfortable to let him off-leash in a park and take him to the beach)
    • General garden maintenance – mowing, weeding, mulching, planting
    • Housekeeping and general upkeep of the home and outdoor areas
    • Occasional small DIY tasks or painting tasks as needed

If you have particular skills, we’d love to hear about them - for example, experience in carpentry (we may look at building a small front deck), or creative skills such as sewing, painting, or other craft projects.
